John Hughes Dies At Levi

John HUGHES, 66, died at his home at Levi, Thursday, March 31.  Funeral services were conducted at the home and burial took place in the family cemetery.

He was the son of Walter and Susie PRUITT Hughes, both of whom departed this life several years ago, was married to Miss Ludy JUDD April 6, 1889, and was a member of the Methodist Church.

He is survived by one son and two daughters:  Clarence HUGHES, Booneville;  Mrs. Ollie C. ZION, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Pearl TIREY, Newport.  Two brothers, two half brothers, and thress half sisters:  Martin and Harvey HUGHES, Robert and Frank HUGHES, and Mrs. Martha FLANERY, Mrs. Matilda CHISENHALL and Miss Sarah HUGHES.

He leaves a host of friends and realtives to mourn his loss.

We do so sincerely express our deep appreciation and thanks to our attending ministers, Rev. R. R. PATTON and Rev. A. C. WILDMAN, Booneville, and Rev. C. R. BLAINE, Levi, for the many words and prayers of comfort and consolation, also to all the kind friends and relatives for their untiring assistance and tender cares during the illness and death of our loved one, further, do we express our deepest appreciation to all the devoted friends for the beautiful floral tribute and Mrs. Long's Glee Club whose voices we cherished in the departure of our kind, loving husband and father, John HUGHES.
