John Williams about 60 years of age, life time resident of Conkling, this county, died early Monday, December 5. He had been ill during the past year. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. interment in the family lot in the Griffith Cemetery at South Fork. Mr. Williams was a son of Lewis and Jane Anderson Williams, of Owsley County. His widow Vina Halcomb Williams survives, also four sons, Carl, Pearl, Emerson and Elmer Williams, and four daughters, Mrs. Maud Shepherd, Mrs Eva Tyre, Mrs. Nettie Byrd and Mrs. Nellie Allen and a number of grandchildred. Several brothers and sisters also survive.
