Lindon Becknell 1937-2000 

Lindon Ray BECKNELL, 63, of Morehead, died Thursday, 5 Oct, in St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead. 

Mr. BECKNELL was born April 23, 1937, in Owsley County, a son of the late Harvey and Dallas WILSON Becknell. 

He was owner of Becknell Enterprises and a Baptist minister. He was a member of Clearfield Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school and was former Sunday school superintendent. 

Surviving are his wife, Joan McDANIEL Becknell; a son, Steven Ray Becknell of Salt Lick; a daughter, Kim BECKNELL of Morehead; a son, Rev. Harold BECKNELL of Island City; a sister, Faye GEORGE of Hillsboro, Ohio; two half sisters, Edith ISAACS of Groveland, Fla., and Christine LYNCH of Sturgeon; and three grandchildren. 

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Clearfield Baptist Church by the Rev. H.G. PRATT and the Rev. Harold BECKNELL. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. 

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home in Morehead and one hour before the service Saturday at the church.
