Major Emmerson Lynch Dies At Lexington 

Major Emmerson LYNCH, age 73, died Sunday February 6th, at the St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, following a brief illness of nine days. 

He was the son of James and Manervia BOWMAN Lynch of Owsley County. 

Surviving him is his widow, Mary Ann GOOCEY Lynch, six children, Burlin, of Hamilton, Ohio; Georgia, Cressmont; Ocra COMBS, Vincent; Oma FOX, Heidelberg; Beford LYNCH, Evelyn, and Martha QUILLEN, Heidelberg, and twenty-seven grandchildren. 

Funeral services were conducted Monday in the Baptist Church at Heidelberg by Luther NEWNAM. Burial followed in the Heidelberg cemetery.
