Rollie COMBS

FRANKLIN - Rollie Combs, 71, of 255 Sherman Drive, Franklin, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999, at his residence.

He was born in Owsley County, Ky., on Jan. 30, 1928, the son of Lewis and Jane "Thompson" Combs. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was employed by J.P. Transportation for 20 years, retiring in 1990.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Claude, Dale and Clyde; and a sister, Ruby Ledford.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Phyllis; three sons, Steve, David and Greg Combs; a daughter, Cheryl McCarty, all of Franklin; three brothers, Leroy Combs of Hamilton, Eugene Combs of Franklin and Dallas Combs of Booneville, Ky.; a sister, Lola Clark of Franklin; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Unglesby-Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Green officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service today
