Lee C. ROSE Dies At Winchester
Winchester, Ky. -
Lee C. ROSE, 92, widely known retired farmer and one of Clark county's
oldest residents, died Thursday at the home of his duaghter Mrs. John M.
CAMPBELL, Fre-- avenue.
Mr. ROSE, a native of Owsley county and for whom Lerose, Ky was named, moved to Clark county 36 years ago. He was a member of the Christian church and the Masonic lodge.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Cora ROSE, three daughters, Mrs. S.J. HERNDON, Booneville, Ky; Mrs. Ray ROWLAND, Clark county, and Mrs. CAMPBELL; four sons, C.L. ROSE, Booneville, and A.C., Joe and Edgar ROSE, Clark county; 24 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and a great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today at the Scobee funeral home by the Rev. Z. BALL and Dr. Hugh McLEILAN. Burial will be in the Winchester cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be grandsons fo Mr. ROSE. Honorary bearers will be W.E. SPHAR, Clay ALDRIDGE, Dr. John A. SNOWDEN, Dr. Carl GRANT, W.P. HAMPTON, H.B. WISEMAN, Fred CRAYCRAFT, D.B. BENDERGRASS, Thurman BRANDENBURG and Ewell STINSON.
