J. Penn TAYLOR, age 82, McKinley Ave. passed away at Ft. Hamilton-Hughes Hospital at 5:30 p.m. April 27, 1987.  He was born in Owsley Co., Ky, son of Thomas and Alice (Abner) TAYLOR.  He was married to Carrie CREECH, Aug. 25, 1925.  Mr. TAYLOR was employed at the Armco Plant, New Miami, from 1942 until his retirement in 1969.  He was a member of the Darrtown Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Carrie;  one son, Ray TAYLOR and a daughter Mrs. Arthur (Cynthia) DOWNEY, both of Hamilton;  two grandchildren, Ray TAYLOR, Jr., Liberty, Ind.,  and James Randall TAYLOR of Hamilton;  three great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Henry (Mae) ALLEN of Florida.  He was preceded by his parents, four sisters, and five brothers.

Funeral services will be held from the Webb Funeral Home Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Hobart BRANDENBURG officiating.  Interment will be in the Millville Cemetery.  Visitation was held from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service.
