Thelma Mae Pendergrass 

Thelma Mae Pendergrass, age 77, of Hamilton, died in Ft. Hamilton at 2:10 p.m. on Friday February 16, 2001. She was born in Owsley County, Kentucky on December 16, 1924, the daughter of Jesse and Cora (Halcomb) Bishop. On July 22, 1939, she married Clayton Pendergrass and he preceded her in death on April 1, 1985. Mrs. Pendergrass had been employed as a manager for United Dairy Farmers, retiring in 1977. 

She is survived by her children: Gary Pendergrass and his wife Janet of Fairfield, Brenda Williams and husband Paul of Hamilton, Candy Paul and her husband Jimmie of Hamilton; two sisters, Bea Robinson of Kentucky and Renee Smith of Fairfield; sisters-in-law, Jeannie Bishop, Gertie Combs and her husband John, and dear friends, Issie Whitehead and Dorothy Lang; four grandchildren, Jeff Pendergrass and wife Dorena, Michele Murphy and husband John, Jason Paul and fiancee Lisa, Jamie Paul and fiance Chris; two great-grandchildren, Mandy Pendergrass and Gabriel Murphy and one great-grandchild expected in April; also a special little friend, Duane Needham She is also survived by other friends, nieces and nephews. Many of the grandchildren's friends called her Mam-maw. 

Funeral service will be held at The Webb Noonan Funeral Home, Ross at South "D" on Monday February 19 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
