Samuel NOLAN Sick & desieased confined to bed fro _____ ___ & now weeak but of sound mind & memory. Wife Polly & youngest son John G. NOLAN that part of the Calihan Farm that I now own which is 1/3 & all my personal property and all my debts and I request that they live together as long as they reasonable can and I also give them that part of a survey of land on Spurlock Branch that I have not sold - I mean the survey that I sold a part of to Wm. M. GREEN & I want them to pay the debts I owe. 2. to son John my house farm that is the one on which I now live but is to take care of his mother my wife by maintaining & Supporting her in a decent & confortable manner so long as she may live provided she is willing & does want to remain with him that long. But is she becomes unwilling or leaves him (unless it is caused by improper treatment or his failing to provide as above required) I hereby release him from said obligation and it is further my desire that the above obligation shal be a charge on my home farm. I give to my son Layfayette and Elhannan my farm known as the Richland Place and all the lands adjoining it or all the interest I have in said Farm. One _____ to each of my said sons. But my son Elhannon must keep my wife Polly and my son John the debt he owes me which is $50.00. Give daughter Martha SMITH a farm on Branch of land adjoining the Farm now occupied by herself and her husband Henry SMITH. Signed X by his mark 17 August 1882 Witness:
