He enlisted when residing at Georgetown, ME and moved to Thomaston after the Revolutionary War. He was a lieutenant in the Revolution. His widow, Lucy Holland Perry, applied for a pension March 28, 1855, giving her age as 73. 2. From the application for a pension made by Joseph Perry, 8 Aug 1832 (FileW 5507 Joserph Perry or Lucy Perry Mass.): "...That he was Born at Marshfield in the State of Massachusetts Novem 21 1760 that the record of his age is in the family Bible in the possession of William Perry of Thomaston. That at the time of his enlistment as hereafter -?- he Resides at Georgetown in the State of Maine and after the Revolutionary War he removed to Thomaston aforesaid and has resided there ever since where he now resides."
