YOUNG, Joseph of Amherst. On a list of those not known in the town records but are credited to Amherst. Enlisted January, 1777 for three years [page 85]. YOUNG, Thomas of Sturbridge. On a list of those who served in the war of the Revolution, "and resided in Sturbridge, and partly in Charlton and Dudly, in that part of these towns that was taken to form the town of Southbridge in 1816.
