We do not know that any of these were related to the Salisbury Allens.
Her son, Ephraim Roper, presented the account. In the will she mentioned her daughter, "Ruth hains"; grand-daughter "Sary Adhams"; "Thomas Adham's wife and Samuel Adhams my two grandchildren"; "grandson Goodhew"; "those three of my children that are deceased and left children"; "the part which should be to my daughter (Courrer's?) children, to my grand-daughter Goodhew's child which she had by John." An "Alce Makamb" is mentioned, who apparently could not have been a daughter. Benjamin Allen and Rachel Allen were witnesses.
Savage states that John2 Roper of Dedham came in 1637, aged 26, with wife Alice, 23, and two children, Alice and Elizabeth. At D. they had Rachel, b. 1640, d. 1641; Hannah b. 1642; Ephraim and Benjamin (or Nathaniel), twins, b. 1645. From the will it appears that she also had a dau. Ruth who m. _____ Haynes; that a dau. m. _____ (Courrers?); and that either a dau. or a graddau. m. _____ Goodhue. Thomas Adams of Charlestown m. Alice Roper (dau. of John2 and Alice), Dec. 2, 1654. They had Edith, b. 1656; Susanna, b. 1661; Sarah, b. 1667; Samuel, b. 1669; Abigail, b. 1671. W. Ch. adds Thomas, Rebecca, b. 1657, and Mary, b. 1664, omits Edith, with mar. 1656.
* A John Allen served under Capt. Turner, April, 1676, King Philip's war. John Allen, of S., mariner, about to go on a voyage to sea, made his wife Mary his attorney, Sept., 1682. Lieut. John Allen was wounded by the French and Indians, July or Aug., 1691, at "Mequoit" (Pike's Journal). John Allen was a witness in trial of Susanna Martin, 1692.
Maj. Robert Pike gave land in 1687 to his seven children, and in 1691 he deeded Mary's share to her husband, Lieut. John Allen.

In the "Dalton Record," at Concord, N. H., is a complaint of (1) Wm.1 Allen, Sen., 4th 5th mo. 1677 "against Sarah Taylor for going from him or his service in a disorderly way, and for accusing his wife of cruel beating of her," with allusion to the "poverty of the girl's relations." It was ordered "yt (Ann person?) the girl's mother take care of her for the future to see that she be placed out in some godly family and in the mean time she refraine the company of Goodwif Houldredge & Susan Buswell.
