This cemetery was formerly, incorrectly called the "McCoy Cemetery" or Dragoo Cemetery in the Michigan Cemetery Atlas.

This cemetery is on private property. It is listed in the Michigan Cemetery Atlas as McCoy Cemetery #90. Local people call this the Dragoo Cemetery. Due to the desire of the property owners, age and very poor condition of the cemetery, we have decided not to give further direction to the cemetery. According to the property owner in 1968, many of the deceased were moved to Oak Ridge Cemetery at the same time Kathryn Park interments were relocated.

NOTICE:

It is now known, after a bit of research by a Dragoo descendant Nancy Heib; the Kathryn Park Cemetery is actually the "McCoy" Cemetery, named because it was the first cemetery in McCoy's Creek, later renamed Buchanan. Nancy states the other surnames in this cemetery, are all related (by marriage) to the family of Jacob and Isabella Dragoo who came from Monongalia Co. Virginia to Buchanan, MI in 1834.
