Cemetery Links

Please take a few minutes to visit Pam Reid's Memorial Day Tombstone Inscription Project at http://www.geocities.com/~pamreid/memorial.html. The response to this project has been tremendous. There are many of you are just as concerned as I am about preserving these inscriptions before they are lost forever to time and weather. I have begun adding links to cemetery data that is already online. Hopefully, this will be a help to all. I have also added a link to David McCallister's excellent page that covers all aspects of doing this kind of project--from surveying cemeteries, to cleaning the stones to reading the ones that are almost illegible. Won't you please visit the pages and see if there is something that you can do to help?

Books - Family Papers

Barbara Green's Used Genealogy Books

FAMILY PAPERS has been formed to help family historians/genealogists locate, own and preserve authentic documents and letters pertaining to their ancestors. While there are significant collections of records available to genealogists in government institutions and libraries around the country, there remain hundreds of thousands of vintage documents available for private ownership. Unfortunately most of these documents are lying forgotten and ignored due to the lack of an organized market. Recently some home shopping catalog have tried marketing these documents as home decoration accent pieces!! The mission of FAMILY PAPERS is to help identify those vintage documents and reunite them with people interested in preserving their family's history. Over the past few years we have built a significant archive of these documents which we are adding to regularly.
