The First National Bank of Leslie
The First National Bank of Leslie was established in August, 1864, with a capital of $50,000. The original officers were: Arnold Walker, President; M. E. Rumsey, Vice-President; C. C. Walker, Cashier. The officers at persent are the same, except that W. W. Peirson has take the place of C. C. Walker, as cashier, the latter having been elected to the position of county clerk. The directors are: A. Walker, M. E. Rumsey, John B. Dakin, William Haynes, A. R. L. Covert, J. J. Tuttle, E. G. Annis.
H. T. Allen & Son had previously established a private banking-house in the village.
