SPANISH WAR VETERANS.

The local camp of Spanish War Veterans has a membership of about thirty-five. It has had the following commanders:

Major James S. Parker

Thirty-third Michigan Volunteer Infantry

Captain Charles S. Martin, Company A

Thirty-third Michigan Volunteer Infantry

George Lukes

Thirty-third Michigan Infantry

Frank Heike

Thirty-second Michigan Infantry

Fred Hanneman, Sergeant, Troop Three

Fifteenth United States Regular Cavalry

 

Of these veterans, moist of them were of the local company (A, Thirty-third Michigan Volunteer Infantry), known as the Blues; but Fred Elliott, of the Thirty-fourth Michigan Infantry, George Likes, of the Thirty-second Michigan Infantry, and Fred Morrish, of the Thirty-first Michigan Infantry, are exceptions.

The present officers of the camp are:

Senior Vice-commander Silas Dunham
Junior Vice-Commander John Wagner
Officer of the Day Frank Jax
Officer of the Guard O. A. Harris
Chaplain Fred Morrish
Adjutant Neil Dewar
Quartermaster George Lukes

The three trustees are Col. James S. Parker, Capt., Charles S. Martin and Ed Welch.
