I am trying to locate the date of death and particulars unique to the decedant such as would be found in most obituaries for my great grand parents, William Henry FAIRLEY who was killed in a fall at a school in 1930. William's wife was Almeda ASHLEY and she died in 1941 of heart disease. They may have lived either in Jackson or a nearby county. Almeda's father was George W. Ashley and her mother was Sarah Elizabeth BLAKE. I think that they celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary in Jackson about 1925. Any help greatly appreciated. Jim Kaywood

I am looking for members of the BIRD family. My ancestors came from Spalding, England in 1850 on the Devon sailing out of Liverpool. As far as I know, there were several children that emigrated. I do not know of any adults that traveled with them, or of any who were settled in the US beforehand. The parents of the family were Joshua William Bird and Mary Ann THOMAZIN. The children were John Thomazin Bird, Charles Bird, Hanna Bird, Elizabeth Bird, Jane Bird, Budget Bird, Robert Bird, Henry Bird (my great-grnadfather), Joshua Pridgeon Bird, and Eleanor Bird. Charles had a wife Martha and 13 children. The names of the children were George, Joshua, Charles, Martha, John (buried at sea), Deborah, Mary Ann, Mary Elizabeth, John Frederick, Grace, Sarah Hanna, and Alfred. Many of the children of Charles stayed in and around the Pontiac area. Henry, after his enlistment in the Union ended, eventually moved to Saginaw. He had seven children: Elizabeth M., Amos J., John A., Charles H., Elmer F., Rose M., and George T. (my grandfather) If anyone can help me discover why the family emigrated to the US, the whereabouts of any relatives, or what became of the families of any of the originals, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and consideration!

Looking for Robert Sanderson BABCOCK, married to Lorena EVANS. I don't know where they were born, or where they were married. One of their sons, Truman Gee BABCOCK, was born in Imlay City, Lapeer County, in 1860. I only know of one brother, Samuel, who had something to do with introducing the use of pasturization to the dairy industry in MI. There may be more siblings. Sanderson and Gee may be surnames connected with the family.
