Need information on grandfather

Posted by Watsmour@aol.com <Watsmour@aol.com> on Sun, 28 Feb 1999

Surname: WATSON, DENIKE, SICKLES, SICKLIS, WATCHPOCKET

My grandfather, Seymour C. Watson, lived in Vernon township around 1869-1879 or 80. His Post office was listed Gaines (?). He may have been a third grade teacher around 1869-70.

I am searching for information on his parents-which I think were Isaac and Elizabeth (Denike) Watson. They were all born somewhere in New York.

Siblings of Seymour Watson might have been EDWIN, NEWTON, HARVEY, Ella (Mary-?).

They were somehow related(?) to the SICKLES (SICKLIS) family, who also lived in Vernon. I do not know the town or county in New York where they came from around 1860 or so.

Seymour Watson's first wife died in 1879 and is buried in Lovejoy Cemetery-Her name was E. Addie Watson. She died a month after a daughter,Emma A. Watson, was born. I have no further information on them after that year, but Seymour married again and had another daughter, Esther Marvin Watson, and I am assuming she also died and then he married my Grandmother, Anna Marie (MAY or MARY) Watchpocket in 1907.

I am searching for Seymour's 2nd wife and daughter. I have lots of pictures of Seymour and the two daughters,
Emma and Esther. If anyone has information on this family I would very much appreciate it-I thank you in advance.

Surname: KARRER, DISBROW

I am researching the family of Francis (Frank) Xavier KARRER. He married Ann Marie DISBROW in Burns Twp. in 1853.
Frank was a justice in the area for over 16 years as well as running a tinning business. His wife, Ann, ran a restaurant in Gaines during the 1870s. Both are buried in Byron, MI. Frank died in Durand in 1905; Ann died there in 1913. Their children were Frank, David, Minnie, Fred, and Edward.
