CLASS WILL

As we the Senior Class of 1914 are about to take our departure from the worthy ranks of the students of the world renowned institution The Unionville High School and as we are of sound mind we do proclaim this to be our last and only will and testament.

First we the class of 1914 do hereby will to you class of 1915 our ability for settling disputes especially when choosing your class pins, colors, flowers, etc. and sincerely hope that said class of 1915 when they are making their final preparation for their departure from the wonderful institution they will think of that ideal class of 1914 and live up to the standards of said class.

To the boys of the class of 1917 the boys of 1914 will their most marvelous knowledge of German and hope they will as pleasantly surprise their professor as did said boys of 1914 and if they have any to spare they might divide it equally among the girls of their class. We also will 1/3 of our knowledge obtained in our chemistry work especially when they experiment with Hydrogen Sulphide, also give them fair warning not to become too familiar with the electrical apparatus from which they might get a shock and put an end to their most worthy lives.

FRANKLIN KOLB our most beloved President shows his generosity by willing to HARRY PURDY his excellent ability for being able to recite his recitation in a most perfect manner and still have plenty of time to read stories to which his fancies may roam.

To the class of 1915 we will the many great privileges of which only seniors are partakers especially that of being told to take a corner seat farthest from the radiator when the mercury is about 14 below zero but nearest to the professor. This by the way was a privilege of one of our senior girls during the past winter and she wills this privilege to MILDRED MORFORD. The rest of the class to have equal shares in this seat during the time Mildred does not occupy it.

ETHEL LAYER alone is to be sole heir to the privilege of chewing gum of which the class of 1913 so generously bequeathed to ESTHER SCHMIDT. We believe it will make her happy. But in case of the death of this illustrious junior the privilege is to become extinct. HAZEL PRIME our lively member generously bequeaths her agile movements to GRACE DICKENSON and when we return in 1916 we hope to find her a hustling senior. To anyone in the sophomore

Class who feels a little blue when they cannot get some geometrical proposition or perhaps some paragraph in Caesar ._____________________?

ORA LOOMIS wills her most invigorating laugh. This is to be guarded and taken care of by your president VICTOR SPRING and we hope he will guard it and take as good care of it as did Ora the last four years.

And LORENA LUXTON our liberal member generously wills that Professor Brown now take into custody her ever ready candy sack for which she and the members of her class will now no longer need of but with which they are very sorry to depart. We hope that he will treat some discouraged traveler that he is sure to meet as he goes on imparting knowledge.

MALETA COOK our domestic Science teacher as her name implies is a Cook by name and nature for the last four years she has presided over the cook stove doing her own cooking and attending U.H.S. She says she is willing to teach anyone who is going to enter High next year how to economize as well as get a fine meal.

MONTIE BUSH our mechanic who would rather see a gasoline engine than any book in the curriculum wishes his good talent to be given to LYLE CHILDS who enjoys riding in a Regal automobile and also hope he will share these rides with the rest of his class.

CLARENCE RICHTER the artist of the class enjoy making steam engines out of paste board wills this engine to ORA BARRETT for demonstration to his ideal class.

RHEA POMMERENKE our singer, the sound of whose voile we will not lose for some time as when ringing central will hear the sound of her pleasant Hello. This gift to be given to MARIE SPRING to cultivate and take care of the remainder of her days in the Unionville High.

Last but not least: LOREN BRADY our champion ball player wills his ability as catcher to CHARLIE BUSH and hope he will improve this art and be a star in the American League.

We make and appoint Mr. Brown executor of this our last will and testament in witness thereof we ascribe our names and fixed our seals on this the 18th day of June in the year of our Lord 1914
