Many thanks to Rich Hitchcock for scanning and sharing his extensive collections with researchers!

This is a photo taken on some unknown Pacific Island .  The person on the far left of the back row is Robert Hitchcock (b. ? d. 2000). Robert's father, Niclo B. Hitchcock (b. 1897 d. ? ) was my grandfather's, G. Lyle Hitchcock (b. 1904 d. 1989), older brother.

Robert wrote the following on the back of the picture:

L. L. Toor (maybe Foor) Jackson, Mich.

J. Blaine Detroit
J. Dolson Calif.

Robert Hitchcock
Chuck Hinesley Wisconsin

Robert Hitchcock was in a communications group in WW II and was shot in the ankle while at the top of a pole he had climbed as part of his military task.  He made it home safely from the war and lived in Wisconsin until he died 25 Dec 2000 .
