Almas - Looking for anyone with information on Frederick Almas m. Moriah Baldwin in Lancaster Canada. Came to Lapeer County per 1860 census. Children were George and Deliliah. George married Elizabeth Trisch ,daughter of Henry Trisch and Martha Caster of Ohio. George and Elizabeth were the parents of Samuel Almas b.1873, Tuscola County Michigan, m. Minnie Sheffield; Arthur Phillip Amas b.1876; Martha Almas b.1878 m. John Sims; Hattie Almas b.1882 m. George Byrington Ora (aka); Laura b,1886. Samuel was my great grandfather. Almas - Almas, family of Frederisk and Moriah (Baldwin) children George and Deliliah.George Almas married Elizabeth Trisch children Samuel, Arthur, Martha, Hattie, and Ora. I have a family picture. BARCUM - Looking for Edward Barcum b. c. 1837 NY, m. Mary E. (Weston - Brookins). Where are they buried? When did they die? Mary was 65 years old when they married. Edward was her 2nd marriage. Depew - My Grandfather William Depew Sr. came to Baton Rouge LA via way of Mississippi in the early 1920's. He was a Black Smith originally from Michigan. I would be curious if there were any relationship between the William Depew refered to in your article and my family. We can track all of the family from My grandfather forward. He married my grand mother who was a widow with the last name of Sheild. They were both from Tuscola area of Michigan. Dunn - DUNN Thomas Dunn born Dec. 8, 1873 Loudon Aryshire, Scotland. Came to the USA in 1902, landing in New York, from there he and his brother Douglas and family came to Bay City, Michigan. Douglas stayed in Bay City with his family and Thomas moved to Akron, address at that time was Rt. 3 Akron Mi. Thomas was married, think to a Lottie, I have no idea if he married in Scotland, Bay City or Akron. If anyone can help me I would be very grateful, I also have information to share. Girard - Looking for info on Nelson and Adele (Lemay) Girard who moved to Columbia Twp.Tuscola Co. from Flat Rock Wayne Co. MI, around 1877. Nelson and Adele Girard had children named Adele b.1859, Louis b.1862, Frank b.1865, Paul b.1868, Fred b.1870 , Flora b.1872, Ellen b.? and Tuffield (or Tuffil) b.1874. Frank married Lavina Pincumbe (dtr of Henry and Catherine Pincumbe) in Tuscola Co in 1889, Paul married Margaret Grenya (or Grenier) dtr of Louis Grenya and Louisa Jacobs in Tuscola co in 1890, Fred married a woman named Linda, Flora married Charlie R. Weiland (son of Fred Weiland and Rickie Steffin of Colwood) in 1895, Ellen may have married L.Lepratt (or LaPratt). Louis, Frank, Paul and Fred worked in lumber camps and on the railroad. Howell - I am looking for information regarding John "Jackson" and Susie (Meyer) Howell. The little information I have states that John "Jackson" moved to Davison, MI and was living there in 1887. They had a son, William B. Howell, and a daughter, Flora Howell (Morse). I also have information that states that both John "Jackson" and his wife died in Tuscola County and are buried in Gilford, MI; however, the cemetery plat for Gilford was destroyed in a fire several years ago, and there is only one that has been reconstructed from the information on the readable grave stones. Lambertson - Two of my great-uncles were businessmen in Caro, JOHN V. LAMBERTSON and his younger brother, HIRAM LAMBERTSON. Since I live in West Texas, I need help in locating information about their years in Caro. JOHN V.died in 1900 and HIRAM in 1894, both in Caro, as far as I know. They had either a drygoods or shoe store in Caro, according to family tradition. Both brothers are buried near their parents in Mt. Avon Cemetery, Rochester, Oakland Co, MI. MODEL - "Madge" Model (born Margaret Christina Stewart, 11 March 1880 in Speyside, Ontario; died 21 May 1961 in Kingston). "Madge" taught school in Kingston and the Kingston area for several years. I'm looking for anyone who might have "gone to school to her" and has stories that s/he would be willing to share. I am also looking for ANY information about her husband, my grandfather, Carl Hendricks MODEL who was born in Amsterdam, Holland mid-1800s and died in Florida mid-1950s. He married "Madge" when they both were living in Michigan in the ca 1915-1920. This only information we have about Carl's family is that he had several (10?) sisters. Spencer - I am seeking information on John Orlando Spencer, b. ca. 1832 in Herkimer Co. NY to parents Amos Spencer and Debra Hunt Spencer. John O. Spencer was the oldest of several children. He married Melissa (?) about 1858 and they lived in Crawford Co. PA, in 1860. In 1870 they were enumerated in Tuscola Co. MI (Columbia), with children Lynda (11), Edwin (9) and Emmet (5). Stevens - I am looking for information on Jesse Stevens. He was born in Vassar on August 22 1885 to Thomas Stevens and Lydia (Patengill) Stevens. I don't know when he moved from Vassar but I believe it was around 1900-1901. He may have been married in Tuscola county before he moved to Osceola County. Jesse had one brother named Floyd.
