Betzing - I have Betzing family history back to 1674 Mertloch, Germany. My great Grandfather was Johann(John) Josef Betzing married to Ellen L.Hunt fromCanada and lived in Moore Township N.East corner which may be called Vatter's farm. Most of my ancestors are burried in moore township cemetery. My granfather was Peter Betzing, my Father was Earl Betzing. Am interested to know what happened to GreatGrandfather's 3 brothers that also came to U.S.A., about 1875, can not find them. Their names were Anton, Johann, and Peter Betzing. Anton was married to a M.A.Heucher. MyFather died when I was 12, and we lost contact with most of my father's family, until I married in 1972, am currently 43, and live in Arbela township for last 14 years. DeLong - I am interested in obtaining information on Levi DELONG of Cass City. He was born in Ontario. His first wife was Lizzie McKay who was born in ON. His second wife was Mary E Guyitt Goff also born ON. I have a copy of his obituary, but the date is smudged - it would be beween 1930 when he and Mary were married in ON and 1947 when Mary died. Hackett - I am researching the family of Josiah P. Hackett, most of whose family is buried in Pinetree Cemetery. Including: Josiah's daughters, Lovina Amanda Codling and Emma Eilber (and husband, Charles), Lovina A. Robinson Hackett (Josiah's Mother). Josiah lived in Corunna for a time. He died in 1936. He was a Civil War soldier who served two tours. Also, looking for information on Stephen Codling, who's son Charles Cicero was my grandfather. Hawkins - My gg-grandfather, Luther Hawkins, settled in Tuscola in the late 1860's. The family came from NY. Luther and his wife, Lydia, apparently died in Tuscola in the mid-1880's. My g-grandfather, William Hawkins, moved to Arenac, in 1889. I am looking for a death record for Luther and/or Lydia. I am also looking for descendants of other branches of this family including George and Redenzy Hawkins, and George and Elizabeth (Hawkins) Stanton. These people were in Tuscola in the 1880 census, but I have no contact with them after that. Hennessey - My mother's family lived in Gagetown, Tuscola, MI, from about the late 1870's until 1925. Her grandfather was William Hennessey and he was married to Margaret Rourke. He was b. in 1849 and d. in Detroit in 1933. She was b. in 1857 and d. in 1910. According to one census, they were b. in Canada. I am trying to find out information about where they came from in Canada and their parents. I would appreciate any clues you might have.
