Location

An index done in 1942, with linkage to families of DAR. is located in Library. Have take many pictures lately to document info, have heard Brighton Historical Society is working on this, however, since the adding of the bridge around the cemetery it's condition is worse.

Description

Enclosed fenced, now, part of Brighton Parks where closed at 10:00 many stones broken, due to vandalism, and the machinery used inside cemetery to construct bridge, ran over stones, etc. some are just laying there, in no particular order.. Many are inf soldiers, and would love to see it repaired, or attended.

Other Problems

When I visited two days after memorial day noticed flags on soldiers, which was wonderful. But stones, and trees taken down are still laying on stones, and most is very overgrown, and ground rugged from bulldozers etc, that accessed cemetery to build bridge fence etc.. Littering is also a big problem in this cemetery. I have pictures, of many stones, and its progress over last few weeks/.

Previous Contacts

Pam Reitsh, Livingston Gen Web coordinator to discuss, this I have since learned Brighton Historical Society has been trying but unsure of their progress.

Basically contacting people to see if anything can be done, and avenues to take.

Current Status

No idea, have seen no repairs yet, except flags on Memorial day.
