Other Problems: Up until 1995, there were headstones literally carried over the years and stacked behind the shed, apparently to make mowing around fallen headstones easier. These were replaced or put into the shed by myself and a few concerned friends. This past summer (2000) the shed has been torn down and some overgrown shrubs removed. To my dismay these stones, some intact and some just bits and pieces, were strewn across existing graves and more stones were buried and broken in the process. Stones were moved to remove shrubs and this job was not completed. Another headstone is missing (since last "inventory" in 1999). It looks like the township was (emphasis on was) trying to clean up cemetery but did not finish the job. Headstones were removed off bases so new ones could be made, but the mess just sits there and big holes remain. I have this cemetery well documented, with family histories, maps of the cemetery and photographs.
