Mrs. Eugene Ackerman
is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Luther, who came to this locality from Fairgrove township in '58. Mrs. Luther, who resides with Mrs. Ackerman, was a teacher in the early days at $2.00 per week. Mrs. Ackerman, Carrie Luther, was born in Fairgrove township March 1, '65. She taught in the district schools of this vicinity from '80 - '86. She was married to Mr. Eugene Ackerman 28 years ago. Mr. Ackerman was born in Jefferson Co., N.Y. July 24, 1862 and came to this locality when 5 years old. They have four children, Truman, of Detroit, Mrs. Dan'l Herman of Akron township, Lela attending the U.H.S., and Olin at home.
