Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Powell were supper guests fo Mrs. Loie Evans Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Grindley of Owosso were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Moore and Ellen Marie.

Mr. and Mrs. Lauren Brecheisen and Ethel Sue and Rev. H. C. Rickner were Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lyons.

Mr. and Mrs. Jay Ensign of Caro visited with Mr. and Mrs. Leland Ensign Wednesday.

Mrs. Alice Hampshire spent Saturday afternoon with Mrs. J. H. Hunter.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wynn and Rhonda of Pontiac spent Friday with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Moore.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Duckwitz of Imaly City were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neal Friday and Sat.

Mrs. Alice Hampshire spent Saturday afternoon with Mrs. J. H. Hunter.

Mr. and Mrs. Brecheisen called on Mrs. J. H. Hunter Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Legg and Mr. and Mrs. John Van Cleve spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Legg and grandson Michael Hubbard in Pontiac.

Mrs. George Peter and Mrs. Minnie Stewart called on Mrs. Loie Evans last week.

Monday Mrs. Douglas Ensign visited her mother Mrs. Everett Rich in Silverwood.

Miss Francis Beard of Honduras, Central America spent Tuesday evening with the Arnold Moores. On Wednesday, Mrs. Hunter, Mrs. C. V. Walker, Mrs. A. Moore, and Miss Beard attend the East District Prayer Band meeting at Kilmanagh.

Mrs. Robert Mann and 2 children of Oxford and Mrs. Larry Hampel and 2 children were Sunday afternoon visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neal.

Those present at a Birthday dinner Sunday for Bruce Silvernail were Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Hughes of Hazel Park, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Bruce Jr, and family, Sharon and Gary Silvernail and Macia Keifer of Mt Pleasant were unable to attend.

EAST DAYTON NEWS

Mr. and Mrs. Murrey Docherty visited Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schlict of Fairgrove Tuesday and they found Mr. Schlict some better.

Arthur Trinka and Alma Wilson of Flint were Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Wilson.

Mrs. Alex Hunter entertained the Dayton Center Extension club at her home Thursday, January 16.

Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Hunter were in Saginaw Tuesday to be with her uncle Arthur Craig who had surgery. We are glad to report that he is much better at this time.

Mr. and Mrs. Leon Hunter of Flint were week end guests of their aunt Mrs. Nina Hunter and the Froedes.

Mrs. Verald Stokes attended the store Thursday for Westons while they went to St. Thomas Ontario to visit her brother.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Milford and daughters of Waterford were Friday and Saturday visitors at the Ed Froede home. Rev. Rickner was a supper guest Friday.

Harold Blink has returned home after spending several days in Saginaw St. Marys Hospital.

DEATHS

Margaret Traubenkraut died Jan 29. Prayer service 11 A.M. Friday. Burial in Grand Lawn cemetery, Detroit.

Council Proceedings

A special meeting of the common council was called to order by President John Burns, at 7:00pm on January 23, 1964 in the Council Room with the following trustees present: S. Heineman, J. Barden, E. Kaminski, M. Lalko, J. Richter and R. Phillips.

The President stated the purpose of the meeting was to award contracts on the proposed water well and water mains.

Motion by S. Heineman, seconded by J. Barden regarding a resolution on advertising bids for the proposed Water Well and Water mains. The resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, S. Heineman, J. Richter, B. kaminski, J. Barden, R. Phillips, and M. Lalko. Nayes: None

Motion by E. Kaminski, seconded by R. Phillips that the Village purchase Builder’s Insurance. This was carried.

A motion to adjourn was made by J. Richter, seconded by E. Kaminski.

Council Proceedings

A Regular Meeting of the Common Council was held in the Council Room at 7 PM January 6, 1964 with the following Trustees present; Barden, Heineman, Lalko, Phillips and Kaminski. The meeting was called to order by the President J. Burns.

By motion the bills were referred to the Audit Committe. Moved by Kaminski, seconded by Heineman the bills be allowed and orders drawn for the same. Carried.

The following traffic tickets were turned over by Marshal Gilmore, Numbers 34, 35, 36, 37, and 40.

Motion by Heineman seconded by Lalko Council adjourn. Carried.
