Kingston, Feb 6, 1903 The Sanilac Quarterly Meeting convened with the Kingston Church at 2;30 p.m. Conference called to order by the clerk. On motion Bro M. S. Waller was elected chairman and the meeting was opened by singing and silent prayer, then reading Scripture lesson with short prayers led by Bro. Waller and others. The minutes of the last session were read and approved. Letters were read from the following churches, vis, Kingston, Freemont, Novesta, Pigeon, Watertown, 2nd Oliver, Clifford and Amadore. The committees were then appointed by the chair as follows. Business committee Bros. E. Sutphen, R.W. Frees, and Robert Horner. Pulpit committee Sister Randle, Bro. Ward, and Sister Elerthorpe. Committee on next session of the Quarterly Meeting Bro. McWilliams, Bro. Shell, and Sister Ward. A report of corresponding delegates called for . Bro. R. O. Thompson made a report of the Oxford Q. M> and Bro. M. S. Waller reported the Genesee Q.M. The Locating committee reported and recommend the next Quarterly Meeting to be held at Watertown. On motion it was os voted. The Business committee recommend that the Q. M. pay Bro. W. H. Sayler the sum of fifty dollars for Evangelist work done at Novesta to be paid quarterly every three months. On motion it was so voted. Motion to adjourn to the call of the chair. Prayer by Rev. W. H. Sayler. Friday evening preaching by Bro. R. W. Frees. Saturday, 9:30 a.m, Feb 7, 1903. Conference called to order by the chair. Meeting opened by singing and prayer by Bro. W. H. Sayler. The Business committee reported that they recommend that the Sunday morning collection be given to general missionary fund. On motion it was so voted. Motion to adjourn to give place to the Woman Missionary Society. At 10:30 a.m. preaching by Bro. E. Sutphen and at 2:30 p.m. covenant meeting led by Bro. Swailes after which the Lords Supper was administered by Bros. R. W. Frees, and Peter Upper. Saturday 7:30 pm. Missionary meeting with preaching by Bro. M. S. Coldren of India with collection. Sabbath morning 9:30 Sabbath School and at 10:20 preaching by Bro. M.S. Coldren. At 2:30 p.m. young People Meeting led by Perel Randle. Sabbath Evening preaching by Bro. W. H. Saylor. Sabbath collection $8.91. J. H. Swailes, Clerk Watertown, May 8, 1903. The Sanilac Quarterly Meeting convened with the Watertown church. Conference called to order by the clerk. On motion Bro. R. O. Thompson was elected chairman and Bro. E. Sutphen assistant. The conference was opended by singing, and prayer by Bro. R. W. Frees. The minutes of the last meeting read and approved. Letters read from the following churches (vis) Watertown, Amadore, Kingston, Novesta, Oliver, Goodland, North Branch, Pigeon, and Clifford. The committees were then appointed by the chair as follows: Business committee Bros. W. S. Waller, G. W. Shell, and E. Sutphin. Pulpit committee Bros. Horner, Corser, and Sister Perl Hinkson. Solultion committee Bros. E. Sutphen, Batesby, and Hoshal. Treasurer read the report of last year and on motion it was accepted. On motion Bro. Swailes was elected Clerk and Treasurer for the coming year. Bro. Rosenberger made a report of Bro. Williams account which was accepted and placed on file. On motion it was voted to give the Sunday collection for the support of Father William. Motion to adjourn to the call of the chair with singing and prayer by Bro. Waller. Friday evening preaching by Bro. E. Sutphen. Saturday 9 a.m. Conference called to order by the chairman. Meeting opened by singing and prayer by Bro. R. O. Thompson. The locating committee report and recommend the next Q.M. to be held with the Pigeon church. The report was adopted. The Business committee report and recommend the following: Whereas the Goodland church has requested the recognition of the ordination of Bro. Nicholas Vandewalker who comes to them from the United Bretheran Church, therefore resolved that a committee be appointed to examine the brother in accordance with the regulations of general conference and the State ministerial conference and that said committee report at the next session of the Q.M. Milo S. Waller Eugene Sutphen J.A. Shell On motion the report was accepted and committee appointed as follows: Bros. M. S. Waller, E. Sutphen, and R. W. Frees and R. O. Thompson and one member from the State association. Motion to adjourn. Closed by repeating the Lords Prayer. At 10:30 a.m. preaching by Bro. W. H. Saylor. At 2:30 p.m. covenant meeting led by Bro. Swailes after which the Lord Supper was administered by Bros. Waller and Frees. Saturday evening missionary meeting by Sister C. Cansalns with collection. Sabbath 9:30 a.m. Sabbath School. At 10:30 preaching by Bro. Nicholas Vandewalker. Sabbath at 2:30 p.m. Young People meeting with Preaching by Bro. E. Sutphen and at 7:30 p.m preaching by Bro. M. S. Waller. Sunday collection $16.75. Mrs. M. S. Waller pledge to pay $5.00 to old Mrs. Williams to be paid quarterly. J. H. Swailes, Clerk.
Pigeon River, Aug 9, 1903. The Sanilac Quarterly Meeting convened with the Pigeon River church. Conference called to order by the clerk pro tem R. W. Frees. On motion Bro. E. Sutphen was elected chairman and Bro. Howe assistant who read the 23 Psalm, then after singing and prayer by Bro. Vandewalker the minutes of the last meeting was read and approved. Letters from the following churches were read ,viz, Amadore, Watertown, Freemont, Kingston, Oliver Novesta, Pigeon, Goodland. All seemed to be on the move in the right direction. The chair then appointed the following committees. Business committee, Bros. Frees, Vandewalker, and Battersby. Pulpit committee Bro. McWilliams, Sister Harner, and Bro Harner. Locating committee, Sister Elerthorpe, Sister McConell, and Bro. Miller. Bro. John Murray was elected treasurer for the Father Williams fund. On motion it was voted to give the Sunday collection to the Pigeon River church. Bro. Jessie Hosner from the Bruce church made a report of the Oxford Q.M. Voted to adjourn to the call of the chair. At 8 p.m. preaching by Rev. N. Vandewalker from Johns Gospel 7,37 from which he preached earnestly. Rev. Thompson took charge of the after meeting. A good meeting was had many taking part in prayer and testimony. 9 a.m. Saturday August 9 Report of committee to examine Bro. Vandewalker given by Bro. Sutphen report accepted. On motion voted that Bro. Sutphen be corresponding delegate to Oxford Q. M. Committee on location reported that the next next Quarterly Meeting be held with North Goodland church. Report adopted. On motion voted that Bro. Vandewalker to corresponding delegates to the Genesee Q. M. On motion voted to hire an Evangelist. On motion voted that M. S. Waller act as delegate to the Michigan association. Motion to adjourn to the call of the chair. Preaching at 11 a.m. by R. W. Frees from 2nd Timothy 3-7. Covenant meeting at 2 p.m. led by Bro. Hosner after which the Lords Supper was administered by Bro. Thompson and Abbey. Preaching at 8 p.m. by Bro. Abbey.
North Goodland, Nov 8, 1903 The Sanilac Quarterly Meeting convened with the North Goodland church. Meeting called to order by the clerk. On motion Bro. R. W. Frees was elected chairman and Bro. R. O. Thompson assistant. Meeting opened by singing and prayer by Sister McPherson. The minutes of the last meeting read and approved. Letters were the read from the following churches, vis, Goodland, Freemont, Amadore, Novesta, Clifford, North Branch, Kingston, Pigeon River, Watertown, and 2nd Oliver. Then on motion the following committees were appointed by the chair: Business committee Bros Waller, Vanderwalker, and Schell. Pulpit committee Bro. Broadway, Sister Howe, and Sister Ward. Locating committee Bros. Howe, Ward and Sister Mason. On report of corresponding delegates called for with no report. Bro. Waller then made a lengthy report of the Michigan association which was accepted. On motion it was then voted to give the collection to the State work. On motion Bro. Sutphen was elected corresponding delegate to the Qxford Q. M. and Bro. Vandewalker to the Genesee Q.M. Bro. John Murry made a report of the fund of Father Williams which report was accepted. Bro. M. S. Waller offered his resignation as Evangelist committee which was accepted. Motion to adjourn to the call of the chair. Prayer by Bro. M. S. Waller. Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. preaching by Bro. R. O. Thompson. Saturday Nov 9, 1903. At 10:00 a.m. the conference was called to order by the chairman for business. The committee on location reported and recommend the Quarterly Meeting to be held with the Kingston church. On motion it was voted as recommended. On motion Bro. S. S. Rosenberger was elected as member of the Evangelist committee. Motion to adjourn. Pray by Bro. Frees. At 10:00 a.m. preaching by Bro. N. Vandewalker. Then at 2:30 p.m. a general covenant meeting led by Bro. Swailes after which the Lords Supper was administered by Bros M. S. Waller and Rosenberger. At 7:30 p.m. Missionary Meeting with Preaching by Sister Lizzie Moody of Hillsdale with a collection of $6.60. Sabbath morning at 10:30 preaching by Bro. M. S. Waller and at 2:30 p.m. Young People Meeting by Bro. S.S. Rosenberger. Sunday evening 7:30 p.m. preaching by Bro. R.O. Thompson. Morning collection $7.30. J. H. Swailes., Clerk.
