Meeting closed with song #7 and prayer by Bro. Thompson of Bristol, Indiana. Friday evening opened by Prayer and Praise service. Preaching service by Bro. McFarland of Croswell in which he brought home to our hearts the great need of making our religion a special business. The sermon was grand and right to the point. The Holy Spirit seemed to be leading him all through the discourse. It was followed by another one Saturday morning by the same Bro. Who took for his theme, Alone with God and though the steady fall of rain kept some at home, those who were there will surely never forget that hour of Holy love, as our Brother with the aid of the Blessed Holy Spirit brought our Redeemer so close that he seemed to breath upon us and it almost seemed as if we were in reality shut away from everything and alone with God. One thought especially he brought to us was that no matter where we are or how large the crowd around us we can so draw to God that he will wrap us round about and our inmost soul will be with him alone. Saturday p.m. Covenant meeting opened at about 3 p.m. in which about 40 expressed their love for God. This was blessed meeting darkened somewhat by lack of communion which was a disappointment which we tried to meet with others loving fellowship. Saturday night meeting opened at 7:30 with Prayer and Praise service led by Rev. Thompson after which we listened to a good sermon from Rev. Erwin of Port Huron. Sunday morning Sunday School was at 10 led by Bro. Sutphen followed by a talk on Womans Missions by Mrs. Grace Thompson which was good and showed that one woman at least had obeyed the command Christ gave to woman to tell. This was followed by a sermon by Rev. Thompson of Bristol, Ind which was full of love and sprinkled with sound common sense. Sunday p.m. meeting opened with the usual Prayer and Praise service led by Bro. Elmer Allen of Novesta, after which Rev. Ervin again told us of Gods love in a tender loving manner that showed the tender tie between him and his maker. Sunday evening Rev. Supthen took the platform and as we listened to the tender pleading word he spoke our minds ran back to the one who taught the People long ago and who said they were like sheep not having a Shepard and we hope and pray that the words he said that night may sink deep into the hearts of those who listened and am sure that all who attended this Quarterly Meeting have been inspired to go home and work more and pray more for the upbuilding of the Kingdon of our blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
