Kingston, Feb. 8, 1924 The Sanilac Quarterly Conference met with the Kingston Church. Business session opened at 2:30 with song and prayer. There were five members present. The clerk being absent, Mrs. S. Walker was elected clerk, pro tem. A letter from the Clifford church was read in which they asked for the next session of the Quarterly Meeting. A letter from Bro. and Sister Hosner was read in which they started they would be with us on Saturday. Motion made and carried that we send our Missionary money to the National Holiness Missionary Department. Motion made and carried that we accept the invitation of the Clifford church for the next Quarterly Meeting. Sister Fillmore read a scripture lesson from 1st Samuel 13 and Psalm 121. Mrs S. Kingston, May 10, 1924 The Sanilac Quarterly Conference met with the Kingston Church. Meeting called to order by Sister Fillmore. Bro. Willerton was chosen chairman. In the absence of the clerk, Prentice Peck was elected clerk pro tem. Minutes of the last meeting read and approved. Motion made and carried that steps be taken to make arrangements to have Sister Fillmore ordained at the next Quarterly Session. Letters were read from the Clifford and Kingston churches. It being the annual meeting it was necessary to elect a clerk and treasurer. Motion made and carried that Bro. W. J. Peck act as clerk for the coming year. Motion made and supported that Bro. Jas. Hunter act as Treasurer for the coming year. Motion carried meeting closed by singing, "Cleansing Fountain." Prayer by Bro. Peck. Prentice Peck, Clerk, Pro Tem. Novesta, Nov 7, 1924 The Sanilac Quarterly Conference convened with the Novesta church. Business opened at three o clock, singing, "He Lifted Me," prayer by Sister Fillmore, singing, "Since Jesus Came Into My Heart." Motion made that there be no session of the Quarterly Meeting held in February. Motion carried. Motion made that Sister Fillmore act as chairman of Locating and Pulpit committee. Motion carried. Motion made that Sister Fillmore be granted a license to preach. Motion carried and license was granted. Business session adjourned, after the business session, Bro. North brought us the message. Friday evening Sermon by Rev. North, "Blessings from the Nail Pierced Hands." Sat morning. Meeting called to order by Rev. Willerton. Motion made that the Sat. night and Sun. morning offering be given to Bro. North. Motion Carried. Discussion followed concerning the legality of licensing. Question arose as to the original constitution given by the Oxford Q.M. Meeting adjourned. W. J. Peck, Clerk.
Novesta, Mich. Nov 8, 1924 This certifies that the bearer Anna Fillmore, of the town of Kingston, county of Tuscola, State of Michigan, being a member in good standing of the Freewill Baptist Church in said Village of Kingston, has this day received license to preach the gospel for one year, and is hereby commended to the fellowship of Christians.
