Society News

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neal visited Mr. and Mrs. Robert Beckman of Columbiaville Friday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Wally Wilmot of Royal Oak were Saturday dinner guests of their mother Mrs. Hazel Wilmot. There were joined in the afternoon by Mr. Richard McCall and Donald Bodine of Royal Oak and Carlyle Everett. The men enjoyed partridge hunting.

Mrs. Dale Clement and baby, Julie Parker & Roger Clement were guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Jersey in Grand Ledge the past week.

Mrs. Hazel Wilmot entertained Mr. and Mrs. Forest Thornton of Port Huron, Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Everett and Ulrich Scheuermann for dinner Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pridmore of Detroit spent a few days last week with relatives here.

Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Wingert attended the funeral of his sister, Mrs. C. R. Vanest (Phyllis Wingert) in Midland Thursday.

Miss Nancy Adamczyk spent the weekend in Grosse Pointe Woods the guests of her roommates Sandra and Karen Pearsall.

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Butler were Sunday evening callers at the Leland Ensign home.

Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Ensign Lyle, and Randy were in Saginaw on business Friday.

Mrs. Gladys Rich and Patsy of Silverwood called on Mrs. Douglas Ensign Tuesday.

Mrs. Leland Ensign and Mrs. James Caswell called on Mr. and Mrs. Jay Ensign in Caro Monday evening.

Mrs. Azalie Kaddatz of Deckerville spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Moore and Ellen.

Mrs. Douglas Ensign and Kelley attended a baby shower for her sister Mrs. Donald Hudson of Lapeer, Sunday. It was held at the home of Mrs. Gladys Rich, Silverwood.

Mrs. George Westerby is a patient in the Lapeer General Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neal visited Mrs. Otto Duckwitz in Imlay City Monday. In the afternoon they called on Mr. Otto Duckwitz at the Furgeson Nursing home in Lapeer.

COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS

A special meeting of the Kingston Common Council was called to order by President Edward Kaminski, at 8:00 P.M. in the Council Room on December 9, 1968 with the following members present: Barrons, Cameron, Mrs. Lalko, and Peter.

Moved by Barrons, supported by Mrs. Lalko that the following water rates be accepted. Ayes – All, Nays 0, motion carried.
