Death Notices Edward Zemke, aged 77 years, passed away at the Caro Medical Facility December 31 1967, after a two year illness. Mr. Zemke was born October 14, 1890 in Detroit and lived in the community of Wilmot most of his life. He was never married and is survived by several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held at the Harmon Funeral Home Wednesday, January 3, 1968 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Wilbur Traver officiating and burial in the Indianfields Township Cemetery.

OBITUARIES Mrs. Catherine Lewicki passes away December 25, 1967 at the home of her daughter in Silverwood at the age of 76 years. Mrs. Lewicki was born in Poland. Her husband, Thomas Lewicki, passed away in October 1966. She leaves to mourn her loss, four sons, John, Walter and Henry of Silverwood, and Stanley of North Branch; four daughters, Mrs. Rose Turner, Silverwood, Mrs. Gene Krause, Wayne; Mrs. Estella Mack, Garden City; and Mrs. Adamczyk of Kingston; 25 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. The funeral was held from the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mayville. Fr. Pilarski officiated with burial in St. Michaels cemetery.

| Children Surprise Parents
Saturday evening, December 30, Mr. and Mrs. Harland Legg were pleasantly surprised at a party given in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary. They were married January 3,1943. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Legg, Curt, and Miss Sue Reynolds of Geneva, Ill., planned the party which was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Lalko. The evening was spent visiting. Harland and Della received many lovely gifts. Refreshments were served later in the evening. Over forty guests were present for Lake Orion, Utica, Kansas City, Missouri, Geneva, Illinois, and Kingston. Earlier in the evening Curt and Sue Reynolds took the Leggss to dinner in Frankenmuth.

Social News Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Moore and Ellen spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Grindley in Owosso. Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Wingert went by plane to Seattle, Washington to spend Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Everett Wingert. New Yearss Day guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Kramer, Joy and Rodney were Mr. and Mrs. Vernard Stark and son Michael of Mt. Pleasant, Janet Jickling, and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Legg. Mrs. Cecil Walker was a Sunday dinner guest of her son, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Walker and Fred of Caro. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Horak of Kansas City, Missouri, spent a few days with his sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Harland Legg. They came on Saturday evening to surprise the Leggs at their 25th anniversary party. Sgt. Frank J. Parker returned to his service duty at Luke Air Base, Arizona. Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lyons and Ed were New Years day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Howey and Wilma. Ronda and Jeff Wynn spent the week end with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Wynn of Owosso. Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Green of Lake Orion spent New Years with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neal. They were joined in the evening by Mr. and Mrs. John Richter of Saginaw. Mr. and Mrs. Wally Wilmot, son Allen and Dick McCall of Royal Oak spent Wednesday with Mrs. Hazel Wilmot and did some local hunting. Miss Ellen Rassette of Avis, Pa, Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Poissant of Flint, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Rassette and family of Linwood were Thursday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Rassette. Mr. and Mrs. Don Janneck and family of Trenton, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Quiel and family of Taylor were week end guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Torongeau. Lee Ensign called on his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Ensign Saturday forenoon. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Maxam of Lansing were Saturday evening callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Schrader. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Forteir of Lake City spent the past week with Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lyons. Miss Sue Reynolds of Geneva, Illinois spent the past wee end with Mr. and Mrs. Harland Legg and Curt. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Ensign and children spent the week end at the Ensign cabin. Mrs. James Caswell and Alice Steele spent Monday in Pontiac with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brooks. Alice is staying with her aunt for the week. Mr. and Mrs. Emerson McIntyre and family of Owosso spent the week end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Moore. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gould and Glenna of Caro, Mr. and Mrs. Van W. Burmeister and children of Ludington and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Van Wagoner were guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Burmeister on Sunday, December 31, 1968.. Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Murphy of Pontiac were guests of the Glen Van Wagoners on Friday afternoon.
