Jerome Schwartz is New Principal The Kingston Community School Board held a regular board session on Monday, May 22, 1967, at which they elected Jerome G. Schwartz as Principal of Kingston High School for the coming school year. John Holodnick, who held the principalship for three years, is leaving and will take on other administrative duties. Mr Schwartz was born in New York City and completed his high school education there. His elementary education was gained In Bremerhaven, Germany. He holds a B.A. degree from Atlantic Union College and a M.A. degree from Andrews Unversity. Mr Schwartz attended universitites for two years beyond his M.A. degree including graduate study at the University of Michigan. Mr Schwartz has spent eight years in education and has held positions of teacher, Dean of Men, Assistant Principal, and Principal. For the past two years he has been guidance counselor at Kingston High School. He is married to the former Linda Schultz of Chesaning, Michigan and has a 3 year old son named Brian Peter. Mr Schwartz feels that his experience in parochial, private and public school systems will be of value to him. His previous administrative experience make him no newcomer to a very demanding job.

Deaths - Viola Figura Mra. Viola Figura passed away May 30. Funeral services will be held Sat. June 3 at 11 AM from the St. Michaels Church in Wilmot.

Graduates Jamie Biston, daughter of Mr and Mrs James Biston of RR No 1, Kingston, Michigan has completed her studies and recently graduated as a Medical Laboratory Technician from the Elkhart Institute of Technology, Elkhart, Indiana.

Death Notices Mr. Ray Wilcox, 73 passed away Tuesday, May 16, 1967 after a brief illness. He was born July 7, 1893 in Imlay City, the son of the later William and Emiley Wicox. He married Frances Turner September 1915. She passed away December 30, 1960. After their marriage they resided in Imlay City and moved to Koylton Twp. in 1955 where he resided until his death. Mr Wilcox was a member of Marlette Presbyterian Church. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs Sheldon Sanford of Port Huron and Mrs. Edward Zuehlke of Kingston, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette on Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev John J. Meyer, pastor of Marlette Presbyterian Church officiated. Burial was in Imlay City, Imlay City Twp.

1917 Class Reunion Mr and Mrs Amber Jones are entertaining at their home on Washington Street, Kingston the graduating class of K.H.S with a pot luck dinner at noon on Saturday, June 10, 1967. They will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of their graduation. Any former acquaintances or school mates of any members of this class are cordially invited to call in the afternoon to meet old friends. The members of this class who are expected to be present are: Loa (Crittenden) Dorman, Katie (Gregor) Papineau, Ray Roy, Helen (Legg) Evenson, Thelma (Legg) Jones, Norman Ruggles, Ward Waldie, Lilly (Wenzlaff) Curry, and Ethel (Westerby) Smith.

LEGAL NOTICES Notice of Mortgage Foreclosure Default having been made in the conditions of a certain mortgage made the 31st day of March, 1966, by Jack A. LaBreck and Shirley A. Labreck, husband and wife, as mortgagees, to the Kingston State Bank, Kingston, Michigan as mortgagee, and recorded on April 1, 1966 in the office of the Register of Deeds for Tuscola County, Michigan, in Liber 241 of Mortgages on Page 602; on which mortgage there is claimed to be due and unpaid at the date of this notice $19,350.57 principal and $338.49 interest; no suit or proceeding at law or in equity having been instituted to recover the debt, or any part of the debt, secured by said mortgage, and the power of sale in said mortgage contained having become operative by reason of such default.
