Everett Reunion The Everett reunion was held Saturday, June 24 at the Beith Memorial Park at the fairgrounds in Caro. 37 attended. Those attending from here were Mr and Mrs Walter Parrot, Jim, Grace, Mr Carlyle Everett, Beverly and Bill and Mrs. Vernon Everett.

64th Annual Reunion The 64th annual reunion of the Van Wagoner clan was held on June 24th at Stoney Lake, Oxford, Michigan. 52 members enjoyed a wonderful co-operative dinner at noon in the beautifully equipped pavillion at the township park. The oldest member at the party was Mrs Foster Sherman (80) of Caro; the youngest child present was Tommy Weichel grandson of Murry D. Van Wagoner of Birmingham, Mich.; Esther V. W. Tufty cam the farthest from Washington D.C. The oldest married couple was Mr and Mrs Fischer of Oxford; the most recently married couple was Mr and Mrs Leroy Murphy of Pontiac. Incidentally, Mrs Sherman and her neice, Bernice Fisher, wer both residents of Kingston in their earlier years. Mrs Tufty told of a recent visit to the Underwood families of Seoul, Korea. Their grandfather was the late Frank Van Wagoner of Caro. A political satire by this talented lady greatly amused the guests as it was read by her brother "Pat" during the brief program. Boating, swimming, and fishing were available to the guests. Those in attendance from the Thumb were Mr and Mrs W. Garnes, Mr and Mrs Bruce Adams, Mr and Mrs Glen Van Wagoner, and Mr and Mrs Donald Gould and Glenna. Plans were made for meeting next year at the same place on the last Saturday in June.

Past Matrons Annual Dinner Past Matrons of the Puritan Chapter of 456 Kingston had their annual dinner at the Masonic Hall on June 23 with six members present. They had elections of officers for the year. Mrs Charles Scchwaderer, President; Mrs Leonard Randall, Vice President; Mrs Delos Stoner, Secretary-Treasurer; Mrs Wm Shoemaker, Flower Committee; Mrs Gary Koehler, Chaplain and Mrs Verald Stokes, Reporter. A trip is planned to the Masonic Home in Alma for the July meeting. Dorothy Stokes, Reporter.

Card of Thanks In loving memory of Wm. McCool who passed July 4, 1959. Soft stars are shining upon a precious grave, beneath lies one we dearly love, but whom we cannot save. We mourn for you in silence, no eyes can see us weep, but many a silent tear is shed while others are asleep. His wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Receives Masters President William R. Keast awarded degrees to 2,946 candidates at Wayne State Universitys commencement exercises held Tuesday night, June 20, at Cobo Hall in Detroit. Miss Kathleen E. Biston, the daughter of Mr and Mrs James Biston, Centerline Road was awarded a degree in Master of Science in Medical Technology.

Council Proceedings A regular meeting of the Kingston Common Council was called to order by Acting President Duane Gettel at 7:15 p.m. in the council room on June 5, 1967 with the following members present: Peter, Lewicki, and Brief. motion carried. Mr. John Burns was present in regards to his driveway entrance. The Street Committee will see that this matter is taken care of. Motion by Peter, supported by Lewicki that we accept the tax roll. Ayes all Nays 0, motion carried. Spicer Engineering Company (Clifford H. Spicer, P.E.) was present and presented the council with a Report on the Sanitary Sewer System and Waste Water Stabilization Ponds for the Village of Kingston. The maps and reports are to be submitted to Farmers Home Administration by Francis Peter. The special ordinance is to be tabled until the next meeting. The Street Committee reported that Kingsbury Alley and Fisher Street will be oiled as soon as possible. The sidewalk at the corner of River Street and Kingsbury Street is to be fixed as soon as possible. The sidewalk on the corner of River Street and Main Street is also to be fixed. Jim Brief has a bulldozer engaged for the necessary work at the dump. Motion by Lewicki, supported by Brief that we accept the Gus Heineman as a member of the Fire Department. Ayes all Nays O, motion carried. The Building Committee has been holding back because of a lack of work on the planning and zoing committee. The vacancy of a councilman as been tabled until the next meeting. Harmon told Brief that he would take care of the burning complaint. As Harmon was absent there was not report. Brief is taking care of seeing that necessary hydrants are fixed.

HOSPITAL NOTES Mr Harvey Tewksbury suffered a heart attack on Sunday, June 18. He is a patient in the West Pasco Hospital in Newport Richey, Florida.

| The Misses Susan and Beverly VanKleck of Drayton Plains have been spending some time with Mrs Cecil Walker. Mr and Mrs Harold VanKleck came on Sunday to pick up Beverly so she could attend summer school. Susan is staying on for a couple more weeks. |

| Mr and Mrs Floyd Wilson of Lake, Michigan were week end guests of Mrs Wilsons mother and father Mr and Mrs Delos Stoner to help celebrate her mothers 82nd birthday. On Sunday her granddaughter and husband Mr and Mrs E. Head, Jr. and family came and also great-granddaughter, Nancy Molina of Maceday Lake, Wateford and the Jame Stoner family of Clawson. |
