Death Notices CHARLEY E. GILLILAND Charley E. Gilliland, 71, passed away Monday, June 5, 1967 in the Hills and Dales Hospital in Cass City after an illness of two weeks. He was born Aug 15, 1895 in Portsmouth, Ohio, and was a resident of Deford, Mich., Kingston Township, for the past 22 years. Mr Gilliland and Helen Penfold were married September 10, 1940 in Pontiac. He retired from General Motors in 1960. He was a former Supervisor of Kingston Township and Veteran of WWI. He leaves his wife Helen, a daughter, Mrs James B. Nichol of Texas, two stepsons, James Kelley of Detroit and Gerald L. Kelley of Madison Heights, one brother, Aldon Gilliland of Champagne, Ill., five grandchildren and one great grand child. Funeral servces were held on Wednesday, June 7, at 2 p.m. from the Harmon Funeral Home with Rev. Wilbur Traver officiating. A military funeral under the direction of the Tri-County American Legion Post 507 Cass City was held with burial in the Novesta Cemetery Cass City.
MRS VIOLA FIGURA Mrs Viola Fegura, 64, wife of John Figura passed away at her home in Wilmot on Tuesday, May 30. She was born on September 12, 1902 in Poland. She and Mr Figura were married March 6, 1922 and had lived in Wilmot since 1955. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs Irene Snary of Hamtramick and Sister Mary Rose O.P of Farmington. Remains were in the Harmon Funeral Home with Rosary recited at 9 p.m. Friday, June 2. Services were held in St. Michaels Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Reunion Clothier School Reunion will be held Saturday, June 17 in the Kingston High School Multi Purpose room with pot luck dinner at 12 oclock. All former students and teachers are welcome to attend.

New Arrivals Born on May 14, 1967 to Mr and Mrs Jerry Peter a 9-lb son who has been named Darren Charles. Grandparents are Mr and Mrs Albert Peter and the great grandparents are Mr and Mrs Harvey Tewksbury of Fla. Mrs Albert Peter returned home Sunday after spending 3 weeks in Fullerton, California helping to care for her new grandson.
Mr and Mrs Ronald Bass of Cass City are proud parents of a son born May 31. He weighed 6-lbs and 7-ozs. and has been named Brian Ronald. Grandparents are Mr and Mrs Donald Bass of Kingston and Mrs Marie McGee of Elkton. The great grandfathers are Mr Thomas Bass of Kingston.

Kingston News Nancy Adamczyk, Lynn Bilicki, Bob Fox, Doug Kramer, Ron Parrino, Grace Parrott and Chris Sxhwaderer are all home from Central Michigan University for summer vacation. Mr and Mrs Harold E. Burmeister and children of Auburn Heights were last week end guests at the home of their parents Mr and Mrs J. M. Burmeister. Mr and Mrs Donald Gould and Glenna were dinner guests of her parents Mr and Mrs Glen Van Wagoner on Sunday.

Kingston Woman Injured Ann Kaminaki was injured Sunday night in a car accident. She is listed in critical condition in the Hill and Dale Hospital, Cass City.

Open House John Adamczyk Jr. was honored on his graduation by a dinner given by his parents, Mr and Mrs John Adamczyk Sr., Nancy and his brothers. Refreshments were served following the dinner along with a late evening snack. Guests were present from Kingston, Silverwood, Wayne, Garden City, Wilmot, Hamtramak, Detroit, Caro and Romeo.

1917 Class Reunion Mr and Mrs Amber Jones are entertaining at their home on Washington Street, Kingston the graduating class of K.H.S. with a pot luck dinner at noon on Saturday, June 10, 1967. They will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of their graduation.
