In 1928, Lenawee County with a population
of 47,681 consisted of the following Townships:
Woodstock, Cambridge, Franklin, Clinton, Tecumseh, Macon, Rollin,
Rome, Adrian, Raisin, Ridgeway, Hudson, Dover, Madison, Palmyra,
Blissfield, Deerfield, Medina, Seneca, Fairfield, Ogden, and Riga

Bordering counties were:
Jackson, Hillsdale, Monroe, Washtenaw (Michigan)
Fulton and Lucas (Ohio)
The principle towns were:
Adrian (11,878), Blissfield (1,906), Morenci (1,697),
Tecumseh (2,432), Hudson (2,464)
(population is parenthesis)
The Population for Michigan at the last census before 1928 was 3, 668,412.
Michigan’s total area was 57,980 square miles with 57,480 square miles of land and
500 square miles of water.
The capital was Lansing.
