OBITUARIES

Faith Parker

Mrs. James Parker, 35, died March 13, 1968 following a train car accident at the West edge of Kingston.

Faith Bernadette Rassette was born March 12, 1933 in Detroit, and came to Kingston with her parents 18 years ago.

Faith Rassette and James Parker were married October 10, 1953 at St. Michael’s Church in Wilmot. To this union was born 4 daughters Kim, Victoria, Nancy and Julie and 1 son Bradley. She leaves her husband and children, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Rassette, five sisters Mrs. Janette Linahan, and Mrs. Ann Poissant of Detroit, Miss Ellen Rassette of Avis, PA., Mrs. Celeste Sura and Miss Mary Rassette of Mt. Pleasant, and two brothers Guy Thomas of Detroit, and Peter of Linwood.

The funeral was held Saturday March 16 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Michael’s Church, Wilmot. Rev Father Pilarski officiating with burial in the Kingston Cemetery. The Rt. Rev Monsignor Edmund Fournier said Mass along with Father Pilarski. Monsignor Fournier was Faith’s Godfather. Also Rev. Sherman Beird gave some beautiful and comforting reading.

Pallbearers were Mike Lalko, Jay Caverly, Robert Wilmot, Henry Bastian, Larry Dawson, and Leo Weber.

William Thomas Everett

William Thomas Everett 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Everett, 7626 E. Sanilac Road, was born July 25, 1950 and died in an automobile accident March 16, 1968.

Bill was a senior in High School, a member of the Student and Dramatic club and the football team.

He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Everett, two sisters Mrs. Marilyn Cattran, Milford Center, Ohio, and Miss Beverly Everett of Spring Arbor, Michigan, and 2 grandmothers Mrs. Vernon Everett and Mrs. Forest Wilmot both of Kingston.

The funeral was held from the Kingston Methodist Church Tuesday, March 19, at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Sherman Beird officiating. Burial was in the Kingston Cemetery.

The pallbearers were schoolmates of Bill, Brett McLaughlin, Wayne Moore, Paul Miller, Tom Clement, Dan LaFond, and Ronnie Barrons.

PURELY LOCAL

Mrs. Leo Legg, Mrs. Marvin Kramer, and Mrs. Mike Lalko attended a bridal shower Sunday P.M. for Elizabeth Walker of Saginaw at the home of Mrs. James Dixon in Flint.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pridmore of Detroit visited Mrs. Hazel Parker over the weekend.

Mr. Charles N. Williams, nephew of Mrs. Minnie Stewart vacationing in Florida, passes away Thursday morning. He was treasurer of Detroit.

Mrs. Wiswell, Mrs. Richard Wynn and children and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Moore spent Sunday in Detroit with Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Geror.

Mr. and Mrs. James Stoner of Clawson were Sunday evening callers of their parents Mr. and Mrs. Delos Stoner.

Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lyons enjoyed Sunday dinner with Mrs. Alice Igersoll and Mrs. Bessie Ogram in Saginaw.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Denhoff and children were Sunday dinner guests of their parents Mr. and Mrs. John Richter in Saginaw.

Mr. and Mrs. Delos Stoner are visiting their daughter Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wilson of Lake. Mrs. Stoner will enter the Osteopathic Hospital Saginaw for eye surgery Tuesday the 26th.

Mr. and Mrs. Ellwood Eastman of Cass City were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Wenzlaff Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Booth of Midland were Saturday afternoon callers at the Fred Neal home.

Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Torongeau were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Torongeau of Wyandotte, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Janneck of Trenton, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Quiel, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Torongeau of Taylor and Mrs Mark Cattlin and Ann of Kingston.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Showers and daughter of Rochester spent Sunday with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Everett Penfold.

Mr. and Mrs. Don Martin and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Clare Ballard, Marlette were Sunday visitors at the Cleo Evans home.

Mr. and Mrs. Lee Ensign of Marlette were Sunday callers at the Leland Ensign home.

Mr. and Mrs. Venard Stark are the proud parents of a baby girl Alisa Joy, born March 14 at Mt. Pleasant Community Hospital.

Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Stark of Mancelona, and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Kramer. Great grandparents are Mrs. Ethel Lewis, Flint and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Legg of Kingston.
