New Arrivals Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Wilcox are the proud parents of a baby boy Duane Patrick, born March 17. He weighed 8 lb, 2½ oz. Grandparents are Mrs. Sylvia Dibble and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wilcox of Clifford. Great-grandparents are Mrs. Julia Streeter of Flint and Mrs. Rose Lamphier of Florida.

Death Notices Clarence Michler Clarence Michler was killed Monday afternoon when the car on which he was working slipped off the jack and crushed his chest.

| FATAL ACCIDENT James A. Bryant
James A. Bryant, 26, Deford Rd, Cass City was dead at the scene of the accident 1½ miles N. of Kingston. He was traveling North of Kingston when he lost control of his car and hit a tree Tuesday night. He leave a wife and four children from 4 years to 9 months.

Mrs. R.L. Dafoe of Warren called on her mother Mrs. Wiswell at the Arnold Moore home on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Kramer and Joy were at Mt. Pleasant Saturday visiting the Vernard Starks. Michael Stark who has been staying with his grandparents returned home. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Rassette and family of Linwood spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Rassette. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Maxam of Lansing spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Schrader & daughters. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Ingleright and daughter Susan of Saginaw, Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Howey, and Wilma and Mrs. Charles Field of Lapeer were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lyons. Miss Grace Parrott and Art Steele spent the weekend with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Walter Parrott and Mr. and Mrs. James Caswell and Alice Steele. Mrs. Laurence Poissant and daughters of Detroit spent a few days with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Rassette. Mrs. James Cattran of Milford Center, Ohio is spending two weeks with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Everett. Miss Shelly Reinamen entertained Cathy Miller, Debbie Eschtruth, Mary Schrader and Jayne Barden at a pajama party Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. James McCabe and baby were weekend guests of their grandmother Mrs. Hazel Parker. Lori Janosek, daughter of Missionary and Mrs. John Janosek, of Malowi, Africa is spending the week with her cousin and family Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hackel. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Saunders of Mississippi were Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hackel and family. Mrs. Ruth Frost of Marlette visited with Mr. and Mrs. Leo Legg Friday afternoon.

Council Proceedings A regular meeting of the Kingston Common Council was called to order by President Edward Kaminski at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Room on March 4, 1968 with the following members present: Barrons, Gettel, Peter. Absent Harmon, Lewicki. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved, with the exception that the motion on page 2 should have been deleted beginning with the words :and fireman from $2.00 to 3.00 and $1.00 per hour thereafter and election board from $10.00 to $15.00." to the end of the motion. Moved by Gettel, supported by Barrons. Ayes All, Nays 0, motion carried. Bills were referred to the Audit Committee. Moved by Barrons supported by Gettel that the bills be allowed and orders drawn for same. Ayes All, Nays 0, motion carried. Peter moved that the Insurance Committee check on policy No. F199925. Supported by Gettel , Ayes All, Nays-0, motion carried. President appointed Gettel and Lewicki to audit the books of the clerk and treasurer with the treasurer. The Street Administrator, Peter, gave the projected 1968 street budget to be placed on file in the minutes. Gettel moved that the street administrators budget be accepted to raise 4.5 mills for 1968-69. This is a 2 mill increase over last years budget. Barrons supported motion. Ayes-All, Nays-0, motion carried. Gettel moved that Peter be Street Administrator for 1968-69. Supported by Barrons. Ayes-All, Nays-0, motion carried. Barrons presented the Water Operation Budget to be $2.600.00 for 1968-69 to replace hydrants, etc. and other operating costs. The need was stressed for an additional well to be drilled. Gettel gave the Fire Fund Budget and recommended an increase of .5 mills to make a total of 1 mill for 1968-69. Peter moved we accept the report and budget. Supported by Barrons. Ayes All, Nays 0, motion carried. The dog problem was discussed and decided that loose dogs were to be picked up as soon as possible. It was decided to table the item of firemens wages until the April Meeting. Meeting adjourned at 9:25 P.M. Mildred Parrott, Secretary Protem. Moved by Peter supported by Lewicki to certify the Village Election held on March 11, 1968 and declared the following persons had been duly elected Village Officers. President - Edward Kaminski; Clerk Beverly Jeffrey; Treasurer Mildred Parrott; Trustee 2 years Jimmie Barrons; Trustee 2 years Robert Cameron; Trustee 2 years Jane Anne Lalko; Assessor Robert Peter.
