Plains. Gordon and his mother, Mrs Cecil Walker also called on James Cook who is a patient
in the Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital. |

TO GRADUATE
A Graduation Exercise will be held at Murray
Hall, Carol State Hospital, March 7th at 8:00 p.m. for Attendant Nurses. The
speaker for the evening will be Dr. Willard W. Dickerson, Medical Superintendent of Caro
State Hospital.
Dora Van Horn is among the graduates from this area who has
satisfactorily completed the Michigan Department of Mental Health approved course of
instruction for Attendant Nurses under the direction or Mrs Fred Campbell, R.N. |
Trip to Russia Will Be
Shared
The Pilgrim Holiness Church announces that Mr
Eldon Berden of Snover, Michigan will be speaking and showing slides taken on his trip to
Russia and other countries.
Mr Berden accompanied a group on the Russian trip that was
sent under the People to People program of the United States Government. He will be
telling of life and worship (or lack of it) in Russia today.
Mr Berden will be speaking on March 5, 1967 at 7:30 p.m. The
public is invited to attend. |
METHODIST CHURCH
The Commission on Education of the Kingston
Methodist Church plans a Family Night Supper, Thursday, March 23rd, at 7 p.m.
Meat, potatoes, rolls, and coffee will be furnished. Bring a dish to pass. Mr. Richard
Wynn will be the guest speaker. He will share his trip and show slides of the Phillipines,
Singapore, Naples, India and the Holy Land. |
PTA
The February meeting of the Kingston P.T.A.
took place on Monday, February 13th. The secretarys report was read and
approved. The treasurer report a balance of $170.00.
Mrs Robinsons 2nd and 3rd grade won
the room award for January.
The meeting was turned over to Mrs Janis Hubbard who
introduced Mr Ron Prefontain who gave a very interesting talk on the Special Education
Program in Tuscola County. He also discussed the types and some of the causes of
retardation.
Lunch was served. |
Announced Engagement
Planning to marry June 17 are Teresa Kosowski
and Philip Bieszczak.
Their engagement was announced by the parents of the future
bride Mr and Mrs Stanislaw Kosowski of Detroit. She is a graduate of St Hedwig High School
in Detroit.
Her finance, who is the son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Bieszczak
of Kingston, is a graduate of Kingston High School.
Both are employed in Detroit. |

relatives for their kindness at the time of my mothers illness and death. To Rev.
Beird for his comforting words and for the cards, calls, food and floral pieces which we

NOTICE
Owners of dogs in the Kingston area are reminded that
village ordinance requires that ALL dogs within the village be KEPT ON A LEASH, on the
owners property.
Violations of this ordinance carries a fine and (or)
imprisonment.
Several of the dogs running at large have been snarling
and snapping at adults and children. This will no longer be tolerated.
Failure to comply with the existing ordinances will
have to result in police action.
In the near future, owners will be required to show
proof that their dogs have been rabies vaccinated and licensed. |
