OBITUARIES - Mrs Ray Allen Mrs Ray Allen passed away March 4, 1968. Marian Martin Allen daughter of the Late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Martin was born April 30, 1896 at Martin, Ohio, coming to Michigan when 3 years old and living in this community ever since and graduating from Kingston High School in the Class of 1915. Marian Martin and Ray Allen were married Sept 16, 1916. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, 2 daughters, Mrs. Wm (Alice) Ruhl, Cass City, Mrs. George (Thelma) Whaley Parkersburg, W. Va. 1 son Raymond, Kingston, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 sister, Mrs. Ruth Frost, Marlette. The funeral was held Thursday, March 7, 1968 from the Huston Funeral Home, Caro with Rev. Wilbur Traver officiating. Burial was in the Caro Cemetery. RAY ROY Ray Roy, 69, of Rhodes,Mich, was born Mary 24, 1898 and passed away at his home February 24, 1968 following a heart attack. He grew to young manhood here at Kingston, graduating from high school in 1917. He leaves his wife, the former Leatrice Butler whom he married 18 years ago, one daughter Mrs. Schryl Wright and a son of Rhodes. Twin daughters by a former marriage, Bonnie and Betty. Funeral services were held from the Lee Funeral Home, Pinconning, February 27, 1968. Rev Earnest Haase officiating. Burial was in the Almer Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. George Westerby called at the funeral home. MRS WILLIAM WOOD Funeral services for Mrs. Elsa Wood, 88, widow of William Wood, and longtime resident of the Deford area, was conducted at 1 P.M. Saturday in Little Funeral Home, Cass City. Rev. James Braid, pastor of the First Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in Novesta Cemetery. Mrs. Wood who was in poor health two years died Feb 28, in a Pontiac nursing home. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Jane Harvey Stevenson. She was born Jan 13, 1880 at Imlay City. She and Mr. Wood were married Nov. 30, 1899 at Deford. He died in 1948. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Wellington Law, Milford, Mrs. Cecil Childs, Pontiac, and Mrs. Clark Ashcroft, Keego Harbor; two sons Clair, Gladwin and Roy, Deford; six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Hannah Palmateer, Marlette, and Mrs. Anna Hicks, Flint.

DEATH NOTICES - DONALD LEE JEFFREY Donald Lee Jeffrey, 33 was killed Sunday, March 3rd in an automobile accident. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Jeffrey. Don was born May 24, 1934. He and Beverly Harrison were married August 9, 1958 in Detroit. Donald was a life long resident of Kingston and in the farm implement business. Donald is survived by his wife Beverly, a son Eddie, a daughter Janet, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Dean Jeffrey, 2 brothers, Richard Mayville; William, Kingston;and Mrs. Nancy Boyne Marlette; and a maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mattie Roberts of Marlette. Funeral services were held March 8, 1968 at 2 P.M. from the Kingston Methodist Church with Rev. Beird and Rev. Strawn of Flint officiating. Burial was in the Kingston Cemetery. The pall-bearers were Donald Majask, Ronald Coltson, Michel Prabucki, Gary Koehler, Duane Gettel, and Clare Innes.

Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Green are the proud parents of a daughter born March 1, at the Lapeer Community Hospital. She will answer to the name of Rayna Lynn. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neal.

The Stoners got a pleasant surprise Sunday evening when Mr. and Mrs. Morris Greenleaf of Clawson and Mr. and Mrs. Cy Thrall of Sandusky came with a lovely birthday cake for us to help celebrate Mr. Thralls birthday which was Feb. 29th. Mrs. Bessie Ogram of Saginaw Mrs, Alice Ingersall of Prudenville, and Mr. Frank DArcy were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lyons. Mr. and Mrs. Emerson McIntyre and children of Owosso were weekend guests of their parents Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Moore. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neal spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. R.D. Green and family in Lake Orion. Mrs. Douglas Ensign and children were visitors of her mother Mrs. Everett Rich Thurs. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Quiel and family of Taylor spent the weekend with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Torongeau. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Kramer and Joy spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Ven Stark in Mt. Pleasant. Miss Lynn Bilicki spent the weekend with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Bilicki. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Grindley of Owosso spent the weekend with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Moore and Ellen. Mr and Mrs. Leland Ensign enjoyed cake ice cream with the Douglas Ensigns in honor of his birthday, which was Feb. 29th. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Koppelberger and children of Westland visited their parents Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Koppelberger Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Foster Plane. Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lyons were business callers in Saginaw Monday evening. Miss Joyce Barber of Caro spent the week end with her cousin Alice Steele. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Kramer have received news from Atlanta, GA that their son Bill is slightly improved. Mr. and Mrs. James Legg of Roscommon visited Mr. and Mrs. Dale Clement and other relatives over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Henry McCloud and family of Silverwood were Sunday evening callers of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Ensign and children. Mike Clement of C.M.U. Mt. Pleasant spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Dale Clement. Mrs. Carlyle Everett, Mrs. Jas. Hewitt, Ubly, Mrs. D. B. Duckwitz, Snover, and Mrs. Walter Morris of Birch Run spent the week end with their daughters at Spring Arbor College for Moms weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Forest Thornton of Port Huron are visiting their sister Mrs. Hazel Wilmot. Last weekend they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Boyne of Leonard, and Sunday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Powell and family of Lum.
