First Communion Nancy Lalko, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Lalko, was one of sixteen children to receive their First Communion Sunday, May 19, 1968. Several relatives and friends gathered in her home to commemorate the occasion.

PURELY LOCAL Mrs. Ruth Frost of Marlette and Mrs. Ward Waldie called on Mrs. Hazel Parker Sunday. Mrs. Delos Stoner has returned to the Tuscola County Medical Facilities Center in Caro. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Legg called on Mrs. Dorothy Lee and Mrs.Ethel Annin in the Memorial Wing of the Marlette Hospital Friday. Little Russell Grieve, who underwent open heart surgery in Ford Hospital, Detroit, returned home last Tuesday and is doing exceptionally well. Mrs. Dennis Steele, Tammy and Miss Alice Steele were business callers in Saginaw Thurs. Mrs. Douglas Ensign and children visited her mother, Mrs. Everett Rich Wednesday. Mrs. and Mrs. J. H. McCutcheon of Lewiston were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lyons. James Coan is spending a few days with his daughters, Bonnie and Lois in Pontiac. Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Thorp of Reese, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Tong of Detroit and Mr. and Mrs. James Caswell were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Ensign. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Knight and children of Detroit spent the weekend at the Tong farm. Eugene Henderson who underwent surgery at Ford Hospital in Detroit returned home Thursday and is recovering as well as can be expected. Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Everett and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Parrott spent Sunday visiting Beverly Everett in Spring Arbor. Mr. and Mrs. John Richter of Saginaw spent the weekend with relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Quiel of Taylor were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Torongeau. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Torongeau of Wyandotte pent Sunday with them. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Sutphen of Waterford were Saturday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lyons. Monday Mrs. Leland Ensign, her two sisters, Mr. Wm. Tong of Detroit and Mrs. Ambrose Thorp of Reese and Mrs. Loa Dorman of Caro left for Holland, Michigan to see the tulips and tour through southern Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Moore called on her aunt Mrs. Ethel Fischo in Brown City and Mrs. John Jackson in Marlette Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Fay Erwin of Pontiac and Mrs. George Parker of Horton were Saturday guests of Mrs. Hazel Parker.
