OBITUARIES – EUGENIA DAVIS

Mrs. Ira Guy (Eugenia) Davis, formerly of Kingston, passed away Saturday April 27, at Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan. She was 62. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Raymond and Robert, two daughters Mrs. Basil (Charlotte) Vincent and Mrs. Wm. (Doris) Kitts, and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services wee held Wednesday, April 30 at Knapp and Smith Funeral Home in Owosso, Rev. Harold Polk officiated, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon, Michigan.

Mrs. Davis was a Past Matron of Puritan Chapter No. 456.

Bridal Shower

Janet Jickling, bride elect of Rodney Kramer, was honored at a miscellaneous shower Sunday, April 28 at the Marlette Town and Country Court Recreation Center. Forty friends and relatives attended the 2 P.M. party given by the bridal attendants Kathy Jickling, Linda Lester, and Brenda Lalko. Janet received may lovely and useful gifts. A lunch was served.

Rodney son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. M. Kramer and Janet, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Jickling will be married June fifteenth.

Anniversary Open House

The family of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. King are having an Open House May 4, 1968 honoring their parents 25th Wedding Anniversary from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Robert L. King home. Everyone welcome.

Miss Chris Schwaderer, CMU junior and Mr. Jerry Fitzhenry of Mt. Pleasant were Sunday dinner guests at her home this Sunday. While in Kingston the also called on Mrs. C. B. Schwaderer.

Miss Joyce Barber of Caro was a weekend guest of Miss Alice Steele.

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Sutphin of Waterford were Saturday evening callers of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lyons.

Mr. and Mrs. Leland Ensign and Mrs. James Caswell were Friday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Thorp of Reese.

Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Everett and Mrs Hazel Wilmot were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wilmot and family.

Miss Eugenia Linck, Mrs. Stella Hazelton, Mrs. Johr and Jack Cargill of Marlette were recent callers at the J. M. Burmeister home.

Mr. and Mrs. Art Warner and family of Vassar were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lyons.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Torongeau and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Dora of White Cloud were Thursday evening visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Rassette.

Jackie Galubenski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Galubenski hopes to come home Hills and Dales hospital where she has been a patient for the past two weeks.

Mr. and Mrs. Van W. Burmeister and children of Ludington were weekend guests of their parents Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Burmeister.

Mrs. Hazel Wilmot returned to her home Friday after a two weeks visit with her sister and husband. Mr. and Mrs. Forest Thornton of Pt. Huron. They visited Mr. and Mrs. Wally Wilmot and family of Royal Oak, also a sister of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Vandenberg of Detroit.

Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lyons called on his mother, Mrs. Mary Booth at the Tuscola Medical Center in Caro, Saturday.

Jim Stoner, Jr, has completed his basic training at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. He called on his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Delos Stoner Saturday before leaving Sunday for Virginia for 13 weeks mechanical training for helicopters.

Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Caswell, Art and Alice Steele were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brooks of Pontiac, Mr. and Mrs. Basil Hudson, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Ensign, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Hudson of Marlette, Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Hudson of Gladwin, Miss Joyce Barber of Caro, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Ensign, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Ensign, and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Steele and Tammy.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Rassette and family of Linwood called on their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Rassette Saturday evening.

Mrs. Leo Legg and Mrs. Marvin Kramer called on Mrs. Ethel Annin, Mrs. Dorothy Lee and Mrs. Walter Mathews at the Memorial Wing of the Marlette Hospital Sunday.

George Parker, Cathy and Kim spent the Week end at Horton, Michigan.

Mrs. Hazel Parker, James Parker and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Clement and baby, Mike Clement and friend from Chesaning enjoyed turkey dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Parker and family honoring those who had birthdays in April.

Mr. and Mrs. Glen Van Wagoner visited friends in Cass City on Monday.

Mrs. Hazel Parker and Mr. and Mrs Dale Clement expect to meet Mrs. Cecil Van Cleave at Tri-City Airport, Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Legg visited Mr. and Mrs. Art Legg in Pontiac, Sunday.
