DEATH NOTICES Stanley Goszkowksi Stanley Goszkowsi, 3859 Bevens Road was born May 8, 1890 in Warsaw, Poland and passed away at his home May 26, 1968. Mr. Goszkowski and Julia Nowowreski were married January 11, 1915. They came to the community 36 years ago. He was a retired farmer. He leaves his wife Julia, 2 sons, Edward of Cleveland, Ohio, and Eugene of Jackson, on daughter, Jean Engle, Grosse Pointe Woods, 6 grandchildren and a sister Mrs. Sophia Mazuri. Mr. Goszkowski was a member of the Polish American Club and The St. Michaels Ushers Club. Rosary was said at 9:00 P.M. Tuesday Evening at the Harmony Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 29, 1968 from St. Michaels Church with Rev. Father Raymond Pilarski officiating. Burial was in St. Michaels Cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Weeks of Misawaka, Indiana spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Foster Plane and Rev. Mrs. Alan Weeks in Deckerville. Mr. and Mrs. Foster Plane spent Sunday in Saginaw. Mrs. Hazel Wilmot and Mr. and Mrs. Forest Thornton of Port Huron called on their sister in Flint Saturday. Carl Neal of Flint visited his brother Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neal Saturday. Other callers at the Fred Neal home were Mr. and Mrs. John Richter of Saginaw and Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Green and family of Lake Orion. Guy Rassette of Detroit was a Sunday guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Rassette. Roger Clement of Delta college spent the weekend with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Dale Clement. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Legg of Roscommon visited relatives here over the weekend. George Parker, Cathie and Vicki spent the weekend in Horton. Mr. and Mrs Amber Jones are spending a few weeks here before leaving for their home in Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Grindley of Owosso spent the weekend with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Moore and Ellen. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Ensign of Marlette were Sunday visitors at the Douglas Ensign home. Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lyons enjoyed Sunday dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ingleright of Saginaw. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Warden of Lapeer visited relatives here Saturday. Sunday callers at the Leland Ensign home were Mr. Wm. Tong, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Knight and Billy of Detroit, Thomas Ensign of Marlette and Mrs. James Caswell and daughter Alice. Mrs. Judy Mathews of Caro and Mrs. Pearl Ogg called on Mrs. Ethel Annin and Mrs. Dorothy Lee at the Memorial Wing of the Marlette Hospital Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Vanderberg of Detroit were Saturday luncheon guests of Mrs. Hazel Wilmot. In the afternoon they went to the Melvin Cemetery where Mr. and Mrs. Forest Thornton of Port Huron joined them to get their lot ready for Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brooks of Pontiac spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland and Ensign.

A Special Meeting of the Kingston Common Council was called to order by President Edward Kaminski at 8:00 P.M. in the Council Room on May 22, 1968 with the following members present: Barrons, Cameron, Mrs. Lalko and Peter. Moved by Camerson supported by Barrons that we not have the Memorial Day Parade on M-46 from now on due to the State Highway Restrictions and that it be limited to our local streets as decided by the parade committee. Ayes All, Nays 0, Motion carried. Moved by Peter, supported by Barrons that the meeting be adjourned. Beverly Jeffrey, Village Clerk. A special meeting of the Kingston Common Council was called to order by President Edward Kaminski at 7:45 in the Kingston Community School on May 20, 1968 with the following members present: Barrons, Cameron, Mrs. Lalko, and Peter. The following businessmen were also in attendance in regards to off-street parking. Walter Harmon, Albert Peter, Burrell Moore, Stanley Moore, Robert Schwaderer, Robert Peter, William Schwaderer, John Burns, John Barden, Jr. Williams Traxler, Sr, and Mr. and Mrs. Lauren Burns. Discussion was held on off-street parking and a municipal building. There were no definite decisions made at this time. President Kaminski appointed the following businessmen to a Parking Authority Fact Finding Committee: William Traxler, Sr., John Barden, Jr. Robert Peter, and John Burns as Chairman. They are to report their findings to the Council at the regular meeting on June 3, 1968. Moved by Cameron, supported by Peter to accept the building permit of Parker Bros. To add to their building. Kingston Community School of Class of 1968 Gary Simmons, son of Mr. and Mrs. Velda Simmons, Rossman Road, Kingston, Michigan, is the Valedictorian of the KHS Senior Class. Gary compiled a point average of 3.743. Thomas Clement, Salutatorian of the KHS Senior Class is H. Thomas Clement son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Clement and nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Clement of Cemetery Road Kingston. Tom compiled a point average of 3.628. Brett McLaughlin, has piled a point average of 3.500 to be the third ranking senior. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold McLaughlin of Kingston. Barbara Bragg, taking the fourth place honors for the graduating class of 1967-68. Miss Bragg is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Bragg of Phillips Rd. Kingston.
