Kingston Club Scouts The Kingston Club Scouts are well under way now and having weekly den meetings. There are two dens with Pat Bruce as Den mother in Den No.1, and Janet Grieves as assistant. Beverly Mallory is Den Mother in Den No 2, with Liz Phillips to assist. There is also a group of 10 year olds called the Webelos under the leadership of Doug Ensign and Dennis Steele. Cub master is Paul Megge. The first pack meeting was Wednesday night, October 25, at the school with several boys receiving their Bobcat pin. The theme for this month was "Westward Ho" for which the Cubs had an Indian War Dance around their totem poles. If there are any boys aged 8, 9, 10 who havent joined as yet, they can do so by contacting a Den mother. Den meetings are every Wednesday night from 7 to 8.

Births Mr. and Mrs. Brian Gray are parents of a son born Thursday, October 26, in the Bay City General Hospital. He weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces, and has been named Christopher Paul J. Gray. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Gray of Caro, and Mrs. and Mrs. Raymond LaFond of Kingston. Great-grandmothers are Mrs. Merle Lapp and Mrs. Ira Bosley, both of Caro.

Appointed Sentinel of Region 7 of F.F.A. Gerald Stover, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stover of Kingston, who is vice president of Kingston F.F.A., was appointed to the office of Sentinel for the Region 7 District of Michigan Assn. Of FFA at the Region 7 meeting at the Gladwin High School, Gladwin, Michigan, on Saturday October 28. The Regional officers are responsible for the Leadership Officers Training Camp on April 5 and 6 at the Methodist Shore Camp at Jeddo, Michigan. The next Region 7 meeting is December 2 at Kingston, and the third meeting will be at Alma, Michigan. Tuscola County is District 3 or Region7 of Michigan Assn. Of FFA. Officers for Region 7 are Pres. Roger Demings, Gladwin; V. Pres. Dave Owens, Midland; Sec. Roger Clark, Alma; Reporter, Paul Wangler, West Branch; Treas, Tom Putt, Bay City; and Sentinel, Gerald Stover, Kingston.

DEATHS: John Pohlod Sr. passed away Wednesday Nov 1. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Methodist Church. Obituary will be in next week.

Engagement Announced Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Jickling of Marton Rd, Kingston, announce the engagement of their daughter, Janet Marie, to Rodney Kramer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Marvin Kramer of S. Kingston Rd, Kingston. Janet is a 1967 graduate of Marlette and is presently attending Saginaw Business Institute. Rod is a 1967 graduate of Kingston and is attending Central Michigan University. A June wedding is being planned.
