Thanksgiving Visitors

Mary Rassette, Sharon Galubenski, Karen And Lynn Bilicki, Jane Houghton, Art Steele, Jim and Grace Parrott, Chris Schwaderer, Tom Kaminski, Bob and Barbara Fox, Rodney and Doug Kramer, Jake Richter, Beverly Everett, Nancy Adamczyk are some of the studends home for the Thanksgiving Holidays from the various colleges.

Mr. and Mrs. Ven Stark and Michael of Mt. Pleasant spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Kramer, and Joy.
Mrs. Richard Dereszynski and children and Mrs. Roberta Scarbrough and children of Grand Rapids spent a few days last week with Mrs. Sylvia Dibble.
Mrs. Delos Stoner entertained for Thanksgiving dinner her daughter and husband from Lake, her granddaughter and husband and children of Waterford, also another granddaughter and husband and children of Flint and also Miss Brenda Cole of Flint.

Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Ensign and children were the Thanksgiving Day dinner guests of her mother, Mrs. Everett Rich, Patsy and Maxine.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis F. Wenzlaff entertained Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sullivan and family of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Marie Goodwin of Royal Oak, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Koehler and family, Mr. and Mrs. Louis E. Wenzlaff and children for Thanksgiving day dinner.
Friday, Mr. and Mrs. Dilles Walker, two sons and a daughter of Drayton Plains, called on his mother, Mrs. Cecil Walker, bringing dinner with them.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Koppelberger and children of Wayne spent the Thanksgiving holidays with Mr. and Mrs Ralph Koppelberger, Sr, and Mr. and Mrs. Foster Plane and Bob.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pridmore of Detroit spent Thanksgiving Day with Mrs. Frank Parker, and while here they called on other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Martin Stutz of Kalamazoo spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Harmon.

Mr. and Mrs. Russell Woods and Barbara were Thanksgiving Day guest of her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley LeBlanc and daughters of Caseville.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Showers and daughter of Rochester spent Thanksgiving Day with Mr. and Mrs. Everett Penfold.

Mrs. James Caswell, Alice Steele, Mrs. Dennis Steele and Mrs. Leland Ensign called on Mrs. Frank Brooks in the Pontiac General Hospital, Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Emerson McIntyre and children of Owosso were Thanksgiving Day supper guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Moore. Mrs. McIntyre and children remained until Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. George Whaley and Brian of W. Virginia, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Allen and children, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ruhl of Cass City, Mr. and Mrs. Daryl Allen and children were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Allen Thanksgiving Day. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Allen entertained them Saturday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Walker and Fred of Caro brought Thanksgiving Dinner to his mother, Mrs. Cecil Walker, and enjoyed it with her. In the afternoon he took her to visit her brother Grant Trisch of East Dayton.

Mr. Charles Schrader and family and Mrs. Edith Pigott of Marlette spent Thanksgiving Day with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Schrader and daughter.

Mrs. John P. Weaver of Monticello, Indiana who had been spending some time at the home of the late Mrs. J. H. Hunter spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Sutphen in Waterford.

Miss Emily Adamczyk spent the Holiday with her sister and niece in Detroit.

Lonnie Bewernitz of C.M.U. spent Thanksgiving Day with his brothers Howard III, Dean, and David at the home of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bewernitz, Sr.

Mr. and Mrs Laurence Poissant of Detroit, Miss Mary Rassette of Mt. Pleasant, were Thanksgiving Day guests of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Rassette , and Mr. and Mrs. James Parker and children, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Rassette and family of Linwood were also guests of their parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Houghton and family were called to Pontiac due to the death of Mr. Houghton’s mother, Lillie Houghton. They will return Wednesday after the funeral.

High Mass Celebrated

High Mass was celebrated by Rev. Pilarski for Francis and Vida Champagne on Sunday, November 26th at 11:30 A.M. to honor their 50th Wedding Anniversary. On the altar wee two potted gold mum plants.

A dinner was served after the mass for the immediate families.

Open house was given by the children at the social hall from 3 to 5 p.m. Their children are Kenneth Champagne, Pennsylvania; Mary Pinkoski, Gagetown; Cletus Champagne, Elkton, Geneva Higgs, Plymouth; Elmer and Llinus Champagne, Wilmot. The hall was decorated in gold and white bells and streamers.

A four-tier anniversary cake decorated in gold was donated by the Krwyko family. Fr. Duggan of Marlette was a guest at the Open House.

Friends from Cass City, Caro, Gagetown, Kingston, Detroit, Pigeon, Elkton, Port Austin, Bad Axe, Sebewaing, Marlette, Wilmot and Deford attended the open house to offer their best wishes.

Mrs. Champagne choose a gold suit dress with matching shoes and hat.

They received may lovely gifts, a gold money tree, and several gifts of money.

Mr. and Mrs Douglas McCool of Owosso are the parents of a daughter Michelle born November 18.

PURELY LOCAL

For Sunday dinner, Mrs. Delos Stoner entertained her son, wife and their son of Clawson; also another boy from Clawson and Mrs. Lulu Stark of Pontiac.

James Dibble of Mayville got an 8-point buck at Glennie.

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Wynn of Owosso, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Wynn and children and Mrs. Wiswell enjoyed Thanksgiving Day breakfast with Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Moore.

Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lyons enjoyed Thanksgiving Day with their son, Rev. and Mrs. Lyons and children in Pontiac. Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Howey were also guests.

Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Ensign were in Pontiac Saturday afternoon. They called on their sister, Mrs. Frank Brooks in Pontiac General Hospital.

Mrs. Don Powell of Lum visited her mother, Mrs. Hazel Wilmot Wednesday. Mrs. Wilmot returned home with her. They were joined on Thanksgiving Day by Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Allen, Dale and Annette. Mr. and Mrs. James Barrons and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Boyne of Leonard.

Rev. and Mrs. James Cattran of Milford Center, Ohio, and Miss Beverly Everett of Spring Arbor were Hoiday guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Everett and Bill.

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Wynn of Owosso, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Moore and Mrs. Wiswell were Thanksgiving Day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wynn and children.

Mr. Ernest Torongeau returned home from the Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital on Thursday and is recuperating at his home.

Mr. and Mrs. George Parker and three sons of Jackson spent the Thanksgiving Holidays with Mrs. Hazel Parker.
