Death Notice

JENNIE COAN

Miss Jennie Coan of Flint passes away October 1, 1968 in the Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital. She was a member of the Bethlehem Methodist Church in Flint.

Jennie Coan, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Coan was born in Kingston Township January 18, 1894. She had been a teacher for many years, teaching in the Beverly, McKenzie & Kingston schools here. She was retired from the Elsie Community School with "This is your life Jennie Coan: a few years ago.


Miss Coan leaves 1 brother, James of Kingston, and 1 sister Mrs. Hazel Michler, Birch Run. She also leaves four nieces.

The funeral was held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday October 4, from the United Methodist Church of Kingston with Rev. Verne Blankenburg officiating. Burial was in the Kingston Cemetery under the direction of the Harmon Funeral Home.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Larry Tomaszewski (Pat Kupiec) a 7 lb, 6 oz son, at Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital, October 4 at 4 AM. First time grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lewicki, Kingston and Mrs. Pet Tomaszewski.

Mrs. Leonard Randall and Mrs. Ralph Koppelberger Sr. are in Grand Rapids for a couple days this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wynn and family of Battle Creek and Mr. and Mrs. Emerson McIntyre and family of Owosso spent the week end with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Moore.

Mr. and Mrs. Archie Rodenbo and family of Auburn Heights spent the week end with relatives here.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hudson and Donna of Lapeer were Sunday callers at the Douglas Ensign home.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Koppelberger and family of Westlake, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Koppelberger and family of Grand Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Koppelberger and family of Swartz Creek, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Koppelberger and family of Ithaca, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Fleenor and family of Caro, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Haines of Gladwin were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Koppelberger, Sr.

Mr. and Mrs. Forest Thornton of Port Huron spent the week end with their sister, Mrs. Hazel Wilmot.

Mrs. John Barden, Sr, returned home Saturday from St. Luke’s Hospital, Saginaw.

Lyle Ensign spent the week end with his cousins, the Robert Miles children of Clifford.

Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Booth and daughter of Midland visited relatives here Friday and attended the funeral of Jennie Coan.

Mrs. Berneice Lewicki is spending a month with her son Ed Lewicki and family at Kingston.
