Married in Afternoon Ceremony Miss Mavis Inman, of Bay City became the bride of Mr. Gerald Hurshburger at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30th in the Lutheran Church in Bay City. Rev. Zender performed the ceremony. Miss Pamela Braley, Bay City, friend of the bride, was the bridesmaid and Mr. Henry Inman, brothe of the bride, was best man. Others in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hurshburger of Wilmot. A lovely dinner was enjoyed in Frankenmuth after the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Hurshburger are enjoying a two weeks honeymoon touring the Eastern States. They will live in Bay City.

Card of Thanks I wish to thank all my many friends for the cards, prayers and visits that were given me while I was in the Hospital in Cass City. They will always be remembered. Doc. Stoner.

Births Mr. and Mrs. Carl King are the proud parents of an 8 lb. 12 oz., 21 inch boy born Sept. 25, 1967, named Randy Lynn. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Don Smith of Clifford; paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert King, Kingston great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Smith, Clifford, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gould, Marlette, and Mr and Mrs. J. L. Nipple, Hazleton, Kansas.

Hospital Notes The small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lis is very ill in Hills and Dales Hospital, Cass City. Doc Stoner has been moved from the Hills and Dales Hospital in Cass City to the County Medical Care Facility in Caro. Mr. Albert Pearsall is a patient in the Caro Community Hospital.

Wed in Candlelight Ceremony The Peoples Church in East Lansing was the scene of a double ring ceremony uniting Miss Cynthis Clement and Mr. James Jersey. The seven oclock candlelight ceremony was performed by Dr. Robertson on Saturday, October 7, 1967. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Clement of Kingston. The groom is the son of Mrs. Mary Jersey of Lansing and the late Stafford Jersey. Cynthia, given in marriage by her father wore a street length gown of white satin and lace, with long sleeves buttoned at the wrist. Her veil was held in place with satin rosebuds. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses and white carnations. Miss Margo Jersey, sister to the groom was the brides attendant. She wore a light green street length dress of taffeta and lace. Her bouquet was of yellow and white carnations. Best man was Duane Basel, a friend of the groom. The mother of the bride chose a light aqua brocade dress with matching accessories while the grooms mother wore a blue crepe sheath dress with matching accessories, and both wore corsages of gardenias. A reception was held in the church palor with sixty persons attending from Lansing, Kingston, Flint, Marlette and Chesaning. The couple will make their home in Grand Ledge following a honeymoon in Northern Michigan.

Council Proceedings A regular meeting of the Kingston Common Council was called to order by President Edward Kaminski at 7:00 P.M., in the council room on October 2, 1967 with the following members present; Barrons, Gettel, Harmon and Peter. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Bills were referred to the Audit Committee, Moved by Peter and supported by Harmon that the bills be allowed and orders drawn for same. Ayes, All; Nays, 0. Motion carried. The licensing of dump correspondence was read and placed on file. The county firemans correspondence was read and placed on file and Duane Gettel to act on correspondence. There was a discussion of Ordinance Chapter 9101-4B, motor vehicle parking. The resignation of Councilman James Brief was read. Moved by Barrons, supported by Gettel that it be accepted. Ayes, All; Nays, 0, Carried. The street committee made a report of work done. Christmas street decorations were discussed. The council is to meet with Zoning and Planning on November 1, 1967. Moved by Peter, supported by Gettel that meeting by adjourned. Carried.
