Death Notices

Miss Jennie Coan passed away Tuesday, October 1, at the Saginaw Osteopathic hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. from the United Methodist Church. Obituary will appear next week.

PURELY LOCAL

Sunday Mr. and Mrs. John Fox visited her mother Mrs. Martha Borek in Detroit.

Mr. and Mrs. Jay Ensign of Caro spent Thursday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Leland Ensign.

Thursday overnight guests of Mrs. Hazel Wilmot were here sister-in-law Mrs. Verna Harding of Brea, Calif., and Mrs. Joe Hawkins of Ferndale. Dinner guests to see their aunt Mrs. Harding were Mrs. Dean Boyne of Leonard, Mrs. Donald Powell and Ennie of Lum. Mrs. Raymond Allen, Mrs. James Barrons, Mrs. Robert Wilmot and Scott. Mrs. Carlyle Everett was an evening caller.

Ron Barrons of C.M.U. spent the weekend with his parents Mr. and Mrs. James Barrons.

Mr. and Mrs. James Klein of St. Charles were week end guest of their parents Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Everett.

Mrs. Sherwood Heineman, Mrs. Marie Brewer, Ecorse, and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Pavik of Niles, Mich, have gone to Delano, California to see their father, Mr. Radcliff who is seriousily ill.

Mrs. Robert Plane spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Foster Plane.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Viser of Silverwood called at the Foster Plane home Sunday.

Mrs. Paul Thorp, Mrs. Duane Thorp and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Curry attended the wedding of their niece, Miss Laurine Markhart and Mr. Bruce Drake at the Reese Methodist Church and the supper and reception at the Bloomfield Hall Saturday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Wm. Curry spent the past week at their farm home.

Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Moore and Mrs. Stanley Moore attended the funeral of Mrs. B. E. Moore’s brother, Mr. Elmer Rathka at Imlay City, Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Warden of Lapeer were dinner guests Friday of her sister Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neal.

Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lyons spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Fortier at Lake City, Mich.

Mr. and Mrs. Leland Ensign, and Mrs. James Caswell attended the 4 o’clock wedding of Miss Laurine Markhart and Mr. Bruce Drake at the Reese Methodist Church also the supper and reception at the Bloomfield Hall.

Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Green and family of Lake Orion were Sunday guests of their parents Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neal. They were joined in the afternoon by Mr. and Mrs. John Richter and Mrs. Albert Denhoff and children.

Kim, Vic, Nancy, Brad and Julie Parker were Sunday guest of their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Rassette.

Mrs. Wilbur Traver returned home from the Cass City Hospital Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. John Burmeister were Wednesday callers at the Leo Legg home.

Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Kramer and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Stark of Mancelona spent Sat. with Mr. and Mrs. Vern Stark and family in Saginaw, in the evening all attended a football game.

Miss Sue Reynolds spent the past week at the Harland Legg home the guest of Kurt Legg.

Mr. and Mrs. Eli Stout and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bergen of Bay City called at the Leo Legg home Saturday enroute to visit their daughter in Syracuse, NY.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Coffey and family of Chesaning were callers at the Dale Clement home last week.

Mr. and Mrs. John Fox, Jr. visited Mr. and Mrs. John Fox, Sr. in Atlanta, Mich. Saturday.

Bonnie and Lois Coan, Mrs. T. J. Childres and son Tommy spent Saturday with James Coan.

Jim Coan accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Everett to Saginaw Monday and visited his sister Miss Jennie Coan who is a patient in the Saginaw Osteopathic hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Steele, Alice Steele and James Caswell attended the reception for Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Drake Saturday evening at Bloomfield Hall, Richville.

Chuck Christie, Jim Parker & Stuart Copeland have returned from hunting in Saskatchewan, Canada. Stuart shot a moose.
