" Baseball like most sports is not only an individual effort but most of all a team effort. In baseball nine men are striving for the all important goal of victory. Even more important is that these nine men are striving for sportsmanship; a goal worth of attaining by everyone.

So as a season progresses and teams win or lose, they can always remember the old advantage, ‘It’s not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game that counts.’ "

The Spirit of Track

"Track is a sport that is grand. The sport of track not only is good for the guys, but builds spirit of body and mind. Every young man that goes out for track does not always get to the top in the many events but the thought of working with the other guys and for the name of the school makes the heart happy and the mind and body strong.

We only hope the rest of the kids here at K.H.S. will stand behind our track team and join in the happiness the guys feel. We want to stand back and say "Well Done" at the end of the season."
