- Funeral Services were held Saturday at Little Valley Church, south of Lutesville for Jonas J. Garner, 61 year old farmer and sawmill operator, who died Tuesday of last week at Southeast Missouri Hospital of Cape Girardeau. Rev. Otis Virgin of Sullivan, Mo. conducted services and burial was in Bollinger County Memorial Cemetery of Lutesville with Morgan Funeral Service of Advance in charge. Mr Garner, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Garner, was born in this county April 5, 1892. On April 27, 1918 he was married to Myrtle Angel, who survives; also 5 sons, Homer, Troy, and Leonard of Advance, Estel of Ferguson, and Elvin of Greenbriar; a daughter, Mrs. Clara Mae Hickson of Advance; a sister, Mrs Hamilton of Granite City, Ill. and 7 Grandchildren.
