On the morning of April 10,1917, the Angel of Death entered the home of Mrs G.E. McCormick and laid its withering hands on the loving husband and father, Joseph McCormick. He was born February 18, 1866 and fell asleep in the arms of Jesus April 10, 1917, aged 51 years, 1 month and 6 days. He was converted in 1916 and became a member of the General Baptist Church and lived a Christian life from that time until his death. He leaves a widow, two daughters, one sister and two brothers, besides a host other relatives and friends to mourn his departure.
